Spectre French Avenue 2024

I don’t usually test stuff from clone houses but I didn’t realize this was a clone / dupe whatever when I ordered the decant. The bottle resonated with me, it has a leathery classification so I ordered it.

It smells pretty nice! I see it gets compared with Falcon Leather and I get that. Though FL is much more in your face. Spectre is sweeter, like it has a honeyed tobacco vibe going. It reminds me more of Carlisle by PdM than anything else. After about two hours a weird, sour vegetable kind of note gets picked up when smelled up close.

Spraying it for the first time the projection seemed lacking. I was puzzled by the high ratings here on Parfumo. So gave it another couple of sprays. But it picks up pace during the next couple of hours so that’s fun if you’re in class or in a business meeting. Be careful with that triggerfinger.

Not picking up a bottle of this because in the end it’s not much of an original product. But when you’re looking for a cool, dark, leather perfume and you have a tight budget? Look no further.

This is the kind of scent that transform you. It's not cosy, it's not warm or welcoming at all.
It's dark, animalic (birdy), leathery but not a clean leather, more a used leather that you can find in an horse stable, very sour scent.

My point is, you can't wear and beer cheerfull, it's a fragrance for serious guys, the ones who do not talk and who enjoy beeing mysterious.

It’s both deeply sexy and strangely repulsive at the same time, undeniably masculine and definitely not a blind buy.

This is what Jack Reacher would wear( although the actor likes imagination). Unapologetically bold and masculine. A spot on clone of Falcon leather with remarkable similarity and quality. Refuses to become a skin scent even after 12 hours. Nearly choked myself to death after six sprays. This has wayy better quality than ghost and wraith.

Resembles Khalid by Lataffa (presumably also the Falcon Leather) quite a bit, the smoke here is not as dark and strong. Instead, the leather is softer and the scent does not come across as fruity. Spectre is more suitable for everyday wear but weaker than the Lataffa scent. Something irritated me after a short time; a comparison on the clothing shows that Spectre appears significantly more synthetic compared to Khalid. Khalid is smoky black here.

I am new to the world of fragrances and had the chance to test some with a colleague - which is how my journey began. Spectre is very, very close to the original - on scent strips, it is actually identical to the original. Really good longevity. Sillage on the skin is also in the upper midfield, on clothing, of course, even longer and stronger.

Initially very smoky and leathery, but it eventually develops into a warm direction on the skin.

Not a blind buy, but a very beautiful scent.
