The name of this perfume comes from the Portuguese language, meaning poison. I wish all poisons were this lovely! When I applied this perfume at night; it was late at night and I suddenly felt my eyes open. and who that was seated down near me also said at once that it smells so good!

It is a perfume in which cinnamon and apple play an important role and I think it can be classified as gourmand. It could say that the hookah smells like apple; edible and attractive..

The scent:
It's as if I had spent 3 days and 3 nights in a shisha bar, and nothing but Double Apple was smoked. I simply cannot comprehend how they managed to capture the smell of sweet shisha tobacco type apple and charcoal in a bottle! I secretly believe they put an Oompa Loompa in there and sentenced him to smoke a bowl of Double Apple every time someone presses the sprayer. I smell....insanely like a shisha lounge. This is definitely not a scent for everyday wear unless you work in a casino, a shisha bar, or as a bouncer. This scent is apple-sweet, penetrating, and simply dominates everything around you. This is a fragrance that a man wears to puff up his cheeks and show who he is....a shisha lounge. My tip....layer it with an Aventus dupe or another citrus scent. This actually makes the Veneno significantly more pleasant and accessible due to the acidity and citrus. Above all, you then also perceive the apple note more because this sweet apple note makes you instantly nose-blind.

Veneno by French Avenue is definitely not a scent for every occasion and not for every type of person. But those who love double apple shisha will feel right at home here. The fragrance smells just like in a shisha bar on a late evening - sweet, spicy, smoky, simply cozy and atmospheric.

Right from the first spray, it starts with that typical blend of apple and cinnamon, just like the first puff from a freshly prepared water pipe. Immediately, this dense smoky accord comes in, settling in the air like real charcoal smoke. This is not for the faint of heart, but for the right people, it’s a true experience.

In the heart, it becomes earthier and a bit darker. Moss and tobacco join in, giving the fragrance substance and making it more mature. It remains sweet and smoky but gains a certain depth and calmness that makes the scent feel very rounded overall. Almost like a lounge evening with friends in twilight and pipe smoke.

The base with bourbon vanilla and orcanox adds a fine warmth. Not intrusive or sticky, but just right to smoothly capture the smoky side. Even after hours, this scent remains intriguing without tipping over or becoming flat.

When it comes to performance, Veneno ranks among the best. Its longevity on my skin easily lasts eight to ten hours, and on clothing, it lasts even longer. The sillage is strongly noticeable without being unpleasant, just right for those who like to be noticed.

For me, Veneno is one of the best alternatives to Smoking Hot by Kilian. The scent comes remarkably close to its model and costs only a fraction. Those looking for smoky sweet fragrances with character and who can identify with shisha scent should definitely test this one. No mainstream, no compromise, just a statement.
