General audience please - amouage 0

Hey eveyone;

I really like the storybehind amouage, their bottles and their performances, though, i havent found the one i really would like to wear from them appart the reflections.

Is there any reccs from there that are general audience please (unlike interlude for example LOL)

Hello,

Amouage is not really the brand that has been releasing perfumes with the intention to crowdplease. They rather make very unique perfume often with frankincense to make a statement. The most crowd pleasing releases must be:

Reflection Man, Epic Man, Jubilation XXV, Boundless, Meander, Search, Sunshine Woman, Love Delight and Guidance.

Going to Amouage for a “general audience” perfume is the equivalent of going to a sex shop and looking for school things.

I recommend trying the manliest scents from their main line and seeing what appeals to you:

Interlude Man

Overture Man

Epic Man

Journey Man

Beach Hut Man

For the more floral or sweet scents that are recommended by fragfluencers:

Reflection Man

Jubilation XXV Man

Now if you want to greatly expand your olfactory and experience new things, definitely try their official “Library Collection Sampler Set” because it comes with Opus XV - King Blue as well.

Beware though, once you experience the complexity of Opus XIV - Royal Tobacco, real oud in Opus XIII - Silver Oud, rose with an incense twist in Opus XII - Rose Incense and vivid spiciness of Opus VII - Reckless Leather, most of your collection will suddenly seem boring.

That happened to me at least, but I don’t see it as a bad thing, rather as another step in my fragrance journey.

I highly recommend getting the samples from their official store. It’s worth the hassle with customs, because they’re the best quality. 8€ for 2ml, pressurized atomizer, great spray and durable glass.

The first sentence above is diabolical 😂😂😂. But he's right! However, there are a couple that are "general audience."

Dia Man isperfectly safe for everyday wear. It's not beast mode but it is nice.

Reflection Man will be in your favorite YouTuber's favorite YouTuber's top 10 niche fragrances of all time list.

Meander Is very nice. Under appreciated.

Lyric Man Is one of the best roses for men.

Most others in the house, in their original glory and formulations, will grant you an HR complaint

Why do you want mass-pleasing stuff? If you didn't like Interlude Man, that doesn't mean you're not going to like the rest of them. Find one that speaks to you in particular, not ones that everyone else thinks is good. Or, worst of all, a "common denominator" that is smells kinda nice to everyone, but no one is really in love with it. That's actually why Amouage is my favorite house, they tend not to make those kind of fragrances; but rather they make specific fragrances for specific tastes.

Here are my personal favorites from the brand:

. Overture Man
. Opus XIV - Royal Tobacco
. Opus XV - King Blue
. Memoir Man
. Outlands

Your favorites will be different. I almost guarantee it. And that's a good thing.

I tested this brand for years and it always ended with a... no, not quite for me--too much this or that in them. Until I tried Bracken Woman . Then I couldn't leave it alone and finally gave in and bought it. There is so much to smell in the ones mentioned above and very true that you have to find the one suited to you. What is funny about the perfume I have is I enjoy the day after as much as the initial spray- beautiful start to a very long finish.

I am generally not very fond of Middle East perfumes, because most of the brands tend to overuse Oud, and I hate Oud. But Amouage is an exception.

I own :

Gold Woman Eau de Parfum

Guidance Eau de Parfum

And Dia 40 which is my favorite.

I love Reflection Man

I have Reflection 45 on the way as a sample.

Jubilation XXV Man is definitely growing on me.

Memoir Man smells similar to Fahrenheit Eau de Toilette to me.
