What perfumes are you planning on purchasing this year?

For full bottles, although my shopping list is way bigger these two for sure:
Aoud Cuir d'Arabie
Risvelium

And of course samples as they get my attention, despite a resolution to cut back on sample buying. šŸ˜‰

Sebastian (The Perfume Guy) only has good things to say about Risvelium.

I hope to make enough money to purchase Roi Sans Equipage Extrait de Parfum

Pearl Moon

Thanks for sharing, this is the first time I’ve seen this brand and it looks very interesting.

Pictura Fragrans Surinam Vert and Dark Tales Black Pearl for summer (I only have one perfume in my collection that works for summer so far, and I finally found these two that I loved)

Possibly, also Andrea Maack Coven and Dark Tales Haunted Circus

Thanks for sharing. Would love to get my hands on the Andrea Maack discovery set.

Definitely need to get my hands on Patchouli de Sumatra, if I should ever find it on my travels. Chopard only sells jewellery and accessories where I live. I haven`t been able to forget about it, unlike other beautiful fragrances which have crossed my path recently.

Looks like you`re on a oud binge, @Ceesie !šŸ™‚ Fingers crossed we both find what we`re craving.

I've had some luck finding Chopard fragrances on big discounters like Fragrancenet and Jomashop. Good luck with your search.

Thanks, @Traceynewman. My trouble with online retailers is that they often don`t deliver to Japan or when they do, the shipping charges are outrageous. I`ve also been burned twice by sites that seemed legit and even had decent ratings which never sent the stuff. So I prefer to buy things in person recently.

I have a spare day in NYC in a few weeks and I see they have many niche fragrance stores within a few blocks of each other in SoHo. I’m hoping to do a sniffari and find something without having to get samples delivered. I’ve been on a hunt for a nice green fragrance so I want to smell The Cut at Penhaligon’s and Philosykos and L’Ombre Dans L’Eau at Diptyque. Also hoping one of the multi brand stores carries Clue brand or some Zoologist I haven’t smelled.

Depending on what I do/don’t find there, I will probably buy The Soft Lawn and Cape Heartache from Imaginary Authors.

Definitely planning to get my hands on Copper , L'Ombre dans L'Eau Eau de Toilette, Roasted Green Tea Eau de Parfum , King Cobra , and Unknown Pleasures

I have many more on my wishlist, but these are top priority

I thought for sure I would be pulling the trigger on l’Instant Magic after receiving my decant sample. NOPE! I guess I’m not buying any perfume for the foreseeable future.

Nevermind. I bought it. Lol

Without a doubt Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Purple Melancholia.  And I’m blind buying it. I love creamy coconut. It’s already available in Europe and supposedly ā€œearly 2026ā€ in the US.  Hurry up already! šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ

Just #Guerlain l’Instant Magic which I already did. I intentionally have limited fragrances storage it’s pretty crammed already tbh.

I am aiming for a very low-buy year in terms of perfumes and to be honest anything else that can be considered frivolous. My whole wishlist is not that big (13), so if I do come across any bottles from it at a good price, I would consider it, but ideally I'll keep it under 6 bottles bought for the year.

Three I'd definitely really like in my collection are Narcissus Poeticus, Tea Tonique and Blondine, maybe this will be the year.

Honourable mentions to So Nude Eau de Parfum and (untitled). I also am finishing a bottle of Majaĩna Sin which I'd love to have again.

@hollyhiggins Enjoy your "snifari." The Clue website lists both Scentbar and Stele as stockists. My experience with Scentbar is that they do not always have in-store the fragrances you can find on Luckyscent. It's still worth a visit. Stele is located at 179 Mott St. It's not quite amongst all of the stores you'll find near the Elizabeth & Prince St. areas, but it's not that far of a walk (actually, I haven't made it there. It's on my list for when work takes me back to the city). When you're visiting Diptyque, don't forget to cross the street and pop in to Mizensir. D.S. & Durga is right there on the corner of Mulberry St. It can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Osswald NYC is a few steps down Mulberry St. on the other side of the road. My apologies if you already mapped these out. Work is taking me there shortly and I've been asked to make a stop at Loewe to see if I can pick up some samples.

Thank you! I had mapped out most of those besides Mizensir which I hadn’t heard of, but I’ll look it up! I don’t know how long I’ll spend in each one so I’ve got to decide where to prioritize first while also making the most logical walking route.  I’m not sure about the one on one experience of Scent Bar, might be too intimidating or pressuring for me haha.

@hollyhiggins don't be intimidated by the "one on one" experience. Most of the fragrances are behind the counter so the sales associate would have to pull them down for you. Not my preferred way of exploring in a perfumery. The associates don't pressure you and often they'll go to help someone else while you're considering a fragrance.  They have no problem with people trying other bottles that were pulled and left on the counter. Last time I was there Andrea Maack was in the store and while the associate went to help someone else she came over to assist me (yes, she was suggher fragrances, and yes I did purchase one of them). Have fun during your trip.

I’ve succumbed to the hype and Bianco Latte is first on my list.

Currently awaiting my turn on the Sorce waitlist because I sampled Ephemera and This Is Not A Love Spell at the end of 2025, and I love them both. Also, got a free sample of MITH Love (which isn't in the database here, but because I can't read Thai I wouldn't be able to accurately post source information to get it added) and I'm 99% sure I'll be getting a bottle of that later on. Might finally get a bottle of Voyager Bokeh as well. If I make significant progress in decluttering what I have, I hope to sample the Arielle Shoshanna tea collection as well!

Right now I’m focused on:

Opus XII - Rose Incense

Great choice. I find Rose Incense an incredible blend of dark, jammy rose tones with a very elegant incense backbone which works beautifully in fall and winter.

@Traceynewman Do you get the inkyness as well? I feel like there are plenty of rose incenses out there but the Amouage frankincense, very clean rose with inkyness sets it apart just enough for me to really enjoy this one.

Seems that there are lots of very interesting new releases coming up this year, I've just heard that I'm probably going to get some of them as gifts for my birthday and wedding anniversary 😁 But what I was thinking to buy myself are definitely Alien Pulp and Green Tea Strawberry Basil, maybe also Infusion de Santal Chai if that one would be as nice as the notes suggest, but that one I will definitely test first in order to know if it would be worth the price. From older releases Tay Berry, Jura Rose, Power Zone, Smooth Pace and Summer Seizure are in my radar atm.

I plan on getting a travel size of Fig Infusion as soon as I finish my sample, a full bottle of Van Sea and I am considering also a travel size of Mystic Bliss. I would also love to get Jodhpur 6AM and Altamura but they’re rather expensive 🄹

2

I’m trying to really slow down my perfume consumption. If I can snag a bottle of Philosykos Eau de Parfum secondhand for my birthday, then I might just do that and call it a year.
