What perfumes are you planning on purchasing this year?

I’ve succumbed to the hype and Bianco Latte is first on my list. 

Definitely need to get my hands on Patchouli de Sumatra, if I should ever find it on my travels. Chopard only sells jewellery and accessories where I live. I haven`t been able to forget about it, unlike other beautiful fragrances which have crossed my path recently.

I’m hoping to finally be able to get my hands on Deified Tony Iommi . I have it in shopping carts forever hoping for prices to drop. And either Lao Oud Extrait de Parfum or Oud Indochine if I win the jackpot.

Well....I'm on a no buy for 2026 with 2 exceptions.

1. bought the limited Polysnifferous release on New Year's Day - Intense Orange Dawn. I'll be decanting it for folks who missed out and holding back 5-10ml for myself depending on what I think when it arrives.

2. buying a mixed partial lot from a friend this weekend including Egoiste, Kouros, Boss #1, Lagerfeld and some other current formulas of old school bangers. 

Once that I done, I have one Ebay auction I'm in and that's it until my bottle count is under 60 and my decant/samples are all logged and under 1k. 

It's going to be a year of trading and selling. I'd love to trade for some men's Guerlain this year as I feel relatively unfamiliar with them. I'm also hoping to find some new fresh scents for summer.

The hardest thing to do is going to be passing up LuckyScent's curated sample sets. They were recently acquired by corporate raiders and are no longer an independent fragrance site so I'm moving on to Indigo and ZGO and any other sites I can find as I try to deal with people and not billionaires with my disposable income. Perhaps I will buy directly from more independent perfumers this year once I meet the terms of my no buy. Happy New Year to Everyone!

I just ordered Oud Minérale to satisfy my itch for a new aquatic

I just ordered a sample of BDK Gris Charnel and Bois Imperial. Will be getting a bottle depending on which I like. So far the notes of BDK Gris Charnel have me interested. Im not sure if I will like Bois Imperial since people compared it to smelling like bug spray. I won't know until next week lol.

Eyeing the gigantic Zoologist discovery set at the moment. It's very expensive and a pain to deliver to Ukraine, but on the other hand – a month's worth of new experiences in one big package is very enticing. Maybe as a big birthday present to myself...

That's a great idea!  I haven't tried any of the Zoologist fragrances yet and test driving their discovery set sounds like fun.

I love Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 - it's sort of irreverent and really doesn't take itself all that seriously.

I've had some luck finding Chopard fragrances on big discounters like Fragrancenet and Jomashop. Good luck with your search.

I hope you do indeed win the jackpot or inherit a chunk of change. I finally got hold of BDK's Oud fragrance, 'Oud Abramad', at a good price and I'm keen to try it out.

Opus XII - Rose Incense

Great choice. I find Rose Incense an incredible blend of dark, jammy rose tones with a very elegant incense backbone which works beautifully in fall and winter.

I love both but not equally. Gris Charnel is magnificent and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The mixed partial lot sounds like a glorious treasure hunt, hope you find amazing gems.

I got a Lucky Scent sample and sort of sat on it and then I was listening to Ouch110 and he’s so captivating and convincing that he made my mind up. Sounds like you’ve tried it? Do you like it?
