Cherry recommendations

On the search for the perfect cherry here. The fruit, not the blossom. The ones I have tried so far:

Tom Ford: cute, but the price point is prohibitive and inversely proportional to quality.

Rouge Smoking Eau de Parfum: I like it, but the sweetness eventually tires me.

Close Up: good contender, but hard to find in Asia.

Cherry Ink: smells amazing on my sister, but doesn't play nice on my skin. All I get is playdough.

Purple Heart V.5: too much ink, not enough cherry.

What can I say, I'm a picky bastard. 😅 I heard Duchessa is amazing and ordered a travel size, but I'm worried from reading reviews that it might be too sweet. We'll see. If you know a cherry scent that I haven't mentioned, please share. Thx!

Cherry Punk Eau de Parfum and "Cherry Punk (Extrait de Parfum) | Room 1015"

True tart cherry with a latexy leather vibe, still very wearable. I personally prefer the EDP.

I am also a cherry lover that is very picky and I hate sweet scents, so I understand the ordeal 😀

Here is what I personally liked so far:

Room 1015 Cherry Punk (my go-to cherry; either EDP or EXP - I prefer EDP, it's cheaper and less tonka sweetness)

Teufelsküche Sylvana's Bite (a great cheapie, doesn't last, but for the price you can re-apply it generously); also Bloodsuckers in Space (cherry with patchouli)

Eauso Vert Fruto Oscuro(pricey but a really unusual spiced not sweet dark cherry)

Ikyrō Blood Cherry Cordial (hard to get, it's from US but it's a great rich chocolate cherry cake scent - I normally cannot stand gourmand smells but I liked that one)

Headspace Kirsch (similar to Cherry Punk but less leather)

State of Mind Spontaneous Generosity (on a sweeter side but not cloying; balsamic cherry scent)

Pineward Glühwein (also goes in the direction of gourmand, cherry chocolate liquor)

Spiritica Lynch (extremely expensive 🙄 but probably my new holy grail of cherry, it has a great cherry pie note and it's resinous, it's all I ever wanted - as I found out when I tested it)

I love cherries too! ❣️🍒 My absolute favourite cherry fragrance is Raw Cherry, it's like a better version of Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum but for cheaper price.

I gave Bodacious as a holiday gift. It might be to your liking, though maybe not your pocketbook. What about La Petite Robe Noire (2012) Eau de Parfum?

Best so far is "Cherry Punk (Extrait de Parfum) | Room 1015" have not tried the EdP though

I also like "Cherry Cola | Emir" and "Rouge Smoking (Extrait) | bdk Parfums" (prefer the Extrait over the EdP)

I went through a similar treasure hunt during 2020-2021, my preferred cherry perfume at that time was Aeternitas.

If you like cherry and cinnamon try Khaltat Night Eau de Parfum.

Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions. Made a list of many of these lovely cherries for sampling. Hopefully I can run across them on my travels.

Coming back to recommend another cherry scent I just found: Alkemia Cherie (it's a woody and slightly spicy white cherry with a bit of incense in the dry-down)

Cherry is one of my favourite notes along with plum. I think they both can be used in similar places to finish off a fragrance nicely.

L'Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum does have cherry in it even though it is not listed. Lots of people love this.

Another that smells like a cherry fragrance is "Mr Majestic | Atrium Fragrance" as it has a beautiful sweet plum and I honestly think it is on the line of being cherry. This is a rare fragrance that not many people have but is definitely worth trying 😉

Also I 2nd Raw Cherry and Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum Raw Cherry smells like a real cherry it’s not your typical cherry you smell in most fragrances. It’s more realistic than Lost Cherry which is amazing as Tom Ford usually has amazing realistic smelling scents. ATH has said he is inspired by Tom Fords earlier creations though but in this case he has outdone him IF you are looking for a very realistic sour cherry with stem.
