Fantasy is something that some cannot even imagine
This probably also applies to those responsible at Birkholz. I don't know what came to their minds when they heard the word Forest, but what the Berliners have produced here is beyond imagination, especially if you've inhaled too much air in Görlitzer Park.

What I mean to say is: Forest Fantasy is unsuitable for anyone who thought of trees, leaves, dense forest, ferns, green firs, pines, wood, oak moss, or dark thickets and rubbed their hands together in eager anticipation or let their nasal passages vibrate with delight. Unfortunately, this fragrance has nothing to do with that, absolutely nothing at all.

Instead, you get a lazy impression of quickly mixing a few low-quality ingredients and trying to sell it under a green label. Okay, the lime comes across somewhat fresh and snappy, the rosemary is a bit original, and cedarwood at least fits thematically.
The rest completely fades away and could have just as well remained unmentioned.

As a fruity freshie with a touch of exotic flair in the drugstore segment, I might not have said anything. But Forest Fantasy comes across as so uninspired and synthetic that one wonders who they are trying to fool with this self-inflated claim and price. It falls into the same category as numerous current aquatic mainstream fragrances, only there at least they have set a small limit on the price.

A Walk in the Woods for the Soul
“Forest Fantasy” is not just a fragrance, it is a moment. A moment of tranquility, captured between glass and spray head. Fresh, spicy, and infused with natural clarity, it takes me on an imaginary walk through a quiet forest after a warm summer rain.
Barely sprayed, a scent image unfolds that immediately evokes moss-covered paths, crisp greenery, and the clear air beneath tall treetops. The freshness is present but not intrusive - more like a deep breath in nature. A subtle spiciness joins in, giving it backbone and preventing it from becoming too shallow. A beautiful balance between relaxation and character.
What makes “Forest Fantasy” special for me: It is not a fragrance for others. It is a fragrance for me. A feel-good scent, perfectly crafted for quiet hours, for mindful moments, for small escapes from everyday life. It wears like a spa visit in my own head, like a warm herbal tea, only as a perfume.
Despite its light nature, it lingers pleasantly on the skin - not a powerhouse, but a faithful companion for several hours. And above all: It remains harmonious and constant, like a forest at peace with itself.
“Forest Fantasy” is like an invitation to come a little closer to oneself. Not a statement fragrance, no scent cloud that conquers the room, but a quiet companion with a lot of soul. And sometimes, that is the greatest luxury feeling.

A Mediocre Leafy Forest Scent
Unfortunately, Forest Fantasy Eau de Parfum did not really convince me. It is a very ordinary and green leafy forest scent. Those who enjoy this direction might still find it quite pleasing. The performance is unfortunately not impressive. The longevity on my skin is 5 to 6 hours with a subtle sillage.

The top note starts off refreshing, green, herbal, citrusy, spicy, synthetic, and somewhat maritime with aromas of lime, bergamot, shower gel, rosemary, pepper, artemisia, sage, and anise. The heart note strongly reminds me of a leafy forest with green-woody aromas of violet leaves, birch water, and fig leaves. The base remains woody and green with hints of sandalwood, patchouli, and cedarwood.

Even though I ultimately wasn't very happy with "Forest Fantasy (Eau de Parfum) | Birkholz," I would like to thank Kamyar for the manufacturer sample.

Moss Landscape Instead of Forest Fantasy
The composition of the fragrance notes sounded truly perfect, exactly what I was looking for. A fresh alternative to my woody "forest scent." A citrus-fresh hippie fragrance was what I sought.

Unfortunately, Forest Fantasy completely disappointed. Not my thing at all. I find it leans more towards moss or swamp rather than forest freshness.

More of a square than a nature guy. I also find it gets a bit leathery. In my opinion, it's for older individuals, if they like the scent.

Rather high price category, but worthless to me. Worn once and never touched again.

A Walk through the…
… Bavarian Forest. A light breeze rustles the green leaves of the trees and refreshes us. Under our feet, the dry leaves and twigs crackle. If you let your gaze wander into the distance, you see only a deep darkness. Are we Hansel & Gretel? Is the gingerbread house around the corner?

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits your nose is a fresh citrusy spicy scent. Underneath, there’s a hint of green woodiness, and this scent is slightly masculine. The musk makes the perfume dry and powdery, and it gets a slightly dark mysterious twist from the patchouli.

The longevity and sillage are unfortunately only average.

Here we have a unisex fragrance that is slightly masculine but can also be worn well by women. I see it suitable for ages 18 and up. It is best worn on warm or hot days, which doesn’t mean it can’t be worn on cold days. I actually see this scent as a daytime fragrance. It is beautiful but very light and discreet, which means it won’t really be noticed in the evening.

If you enjoy a fresh citrusy spicy green woody dry powdery dark light discreet scent, Birkholz is a great choice for you. The price is open for discussion.

Fresh lime juice,
Strongly spritzed.
Lightly green, a bit floral.
Just your average summer scent.
What’s supposed to be fantasy,
doesn’t make sense to me.

Tested it while passing by in KaDeWe. It didn't fulfill or enrich my forest fantasy. Nice, but unremarkable.

Zesty start with lime. But then I can’t see the forest for all the rosemary, even with imagination. Light green summer freshie.

Neither forest nor fantasy. Instead, synthetic, piercing pseudo-freshness. Disappointing.

Quite an uninspired fresh scent. Has nothing to do with the theme of the forest. A bit of lime, a bit of rosemary, and cedar. That's it.

Definitely an interesting minty fresh, zesty, yet sultry and profound scent.

Greeted by citrusy freshness with a hint of spiciness. Green leaves fall on the dry wood as the forest darkens.

Super pleasant shower gel scent with green-citrusy notes. But unfortunately, that's about it. A bit uninspired for the price range.

It's okay, nothing special.
Every 2nd or 3rd summer scent around €30 smells similar.
Doesn't last on my skin, after 4 hours it's close to gone.
