easy reach summer scent
after the lilac version of 2024, i trustfully blind bought this one. I agree that the opening is sharp but this settles rater quick (10min into the wear) after this is becomes a nice fresh summer scent for the small budget. I believe perfect scent for summer travels into warm/hot regions where you do not want to take your expensive bottles. mid wear and dry down is really nice and inoffensive.

Sharp opening, soft heart
A Fragonard I’m not completely satisfied with.

The opening is very astringent, reminiscent of a lemon-scented household cleaner. This sharpness fades as it dries down but never fully disappears. It’s a shame because, as it evolves, you can pick up on the jasmine, musk, and a subtle hint of orange and it becomes quite nice. In reality, it smells better from a distance, up close you really notice this "household product" effect.

Fleur de Citronnier isn’t entirely bad, but for me, it’s not good enough to justify a purchase.

Good job !
For what it is, this is a delightful fragrance. At just €22 for an eau de toilette, it’s a great freshie that punches above its price. I’m genuinely impressed by how well it captures the essence of fresh citron de Menton—those big, fragrant lemons from the Côte d’Azur, perfect for lemon curd thanks to their sweetness and aroma.

The scent is beautifully blended, with no synthetic undertones. It feels like a love letter to citrus, celebrating its natural vibrancy. Of course, as an eau de toilette, it doesn’t last long on the skin, but it’s perfect for cozy, uplifting moments. I can imagine wearing this after a shower in the evening, while still in pajamas, or as a fresh start to the morning. It’s a mood-lifting house fragrance that’s light and refreshing—ideal even for the gym, if I can ever motivate myself to go!

Ooooh, Sparkly!
A more intense citrus fragrance than Light Blue Eau de Toilette, but not as in your face as Light Blue Eau Intense.

Fleur de Citronnier feels sparkly upon opening, as though made using champagne. Stays pretty linear. I have LB on my opposite wrist and its florals pop out in comparison, but sort of in an unpleasant synthetically chemical way. (I'm getting... cough syrup?) FdC is more blended and balanced, its florals are only there in a support capacity. A little bit of sweetness, but not overly so. I'd personally like it even less, but that's a me thing.

I don't always love cedar, but it's quite mild here. I'd liken it more to a white cedar, which I have a preference for. The green apple is not prominent either, thankfully. The 2000s have me traumatized from the overabundance of green apple scents.

Longevity is expectedly short for a fresh citrus. Down to a barely skin scent after 2 hours. It's only $37 for a 50ml bottle in the US, so still a better value over LB.
