Noble Marzipan
The first impression is marzipan, so quite sweet. Then it becomes fruity, with orange showing itself quite clearly. The rose is already playing along. After a few minutes, the cinnamon sets in, it becomes less sweet and a bit powdery. I can't specifically sniff out the apple or the ginger, but I am convinced that both make the scent lighter and more wearable. After a rather short time, toffee already shines through.

From now on, all the nuances dance in a circle, with each one pushing a little to the forefront at times. The marzipan is no longer overly sweet, but rosy and slightly spicy. The orange from the opening hardly plays a role anymore.

I was immediately taken with the composition of the scent notes and was not disappointed this time. Rose, apple, ginger, and cinnamon, along with the orange at the opening, ensure that the scent does not cling sweetly like cheap marzipan in the nose and on the palate, but rather targets the different taste buds of a gourmand as a noble variant.

Sillage is rather on the lower side. I will add the longevity later.

Many thanks to LeniFrank for the testing opportunity.

Longevity for me is about 7 hours.

Kiss Me Tender in beautiful
Well, I also discovered this fragrance through one of those scented cloths that Fragonard sometimes sends to its customers, and at first, I wasn't very impressed: too sweet, too heavy. But the crumpled little cloth has been and still is giving off such a wonderful scent in my jacket, warm and creamy with some refreshing citrus splashes. So I ordered the fragrance, albeit with some trepidation - it was almost a blind purchase - especially since Fragonard sent me a gift voucher for my birthday; unfortunately, no discount, but that's that. And since yesterday, I have the bottle, I sprayed it with excitement, and was even pleasantly surprised.

Because this fragrance is a stylish gourmand with only a little sweetness. At the forefront, you smell something creamy-milky-aromatic, almond is recognizable, but not bitter almond like, for example, in Etro's Heliotrope. The whole thing is, so to speak, cooled from the inside by something like anise or mint, and only very subtly do you perceive something citrusy, which could then be the ginger. More of a spicy-aromatic delicacy than a cloyingly sweet dessert. As happens to an old perfume enthusiast while testing, I had a déjà vu and wondered what this fragrance reminded me of - and then I got it: Kiss Me Tender by Nicolai. The same heliotrope sweetness with cooling freshness. KMT soon became too lush and heavy for me, like those marzipan bars covered in chocolate. Or English caramel fudge: tasty, but somehow too sweet and too much. Heliotrope Gingembre, on the other hand, is the gentler, creamier, airier version, as if the dense heliotrope mass of KMT had been lightened with cream and seasoned with a bit more citrus. This combo, cream and citrus, reminds me of By Night White, which is even sweeter and silkier, while Heliotrope Gingembre is stronger and more aromatic.

Conclusion: A truly noble and gentle gourmand at a fair price, and perhaps an alternative for those who miss the apparently discontinued Kiss Me Tender. Or for those who somewhat liked KMT but ultimately couldn't handle its dense sweetness, like me.

Doesn't like scented wipes
I regret that I can't write much here either. I hate these scented wipes.

In any case, this is a great fragrance. The ginger note only emerges very subtly. Instead, a soft floral scent remains with a beautiful, not overly sweet almond note. The spicy notes are also restrained. I don't find it gourmand.
It is very feminine, warm, and cozy.

Colorful Walk Under Bright Sunshine
We bought the fragrance directly from the manufacturer in Eze, in southern France. Eze is located in the maritime Alps, very high up. From the Fragonard building, there is a beautiful view of the sea, the lovely dark blue sea. The building is surrounded by a beautiful, well-kept, colorful, and plant-rich garden. We took a tour there and were able to observe perfume and soap making and do scent tests. I was looking for something light and playful for the summer. And indeed, when I describe the fragrance, the word lively comes to mind first. It’s like taking a walk in a Mediterranean garden in spring sunshine, where everything is blooming at the same time: the flowers and the fruit trees. Interestingly, each component is strongly present on its own, and together they create an incredibly vibrant and colorful scent. I often spray it on my pillow in winter before going to sleep when I long for spring and colors.

Lolita for the Timid
Where do I start... So, first of all: Congratulations Fragonard - you did it - the first gourmand fragrance that I actually like on myself - WOW, that's an achievement!

Furthermore: I've rarely encountered such a picture-perfect scent pyramid on myself!

First, the bergamot and orange come in fresh, quickly retreating to make way for very very very subtle cinnamon with a hint of rose, and then the restrained tonka bean delights (thankfully, the vanilla is completely absent for me!) along with heliotrope.
Overall, it's quite successful without the frills of most gourmand fragrances.
I even find the scent elegant enough - but it will have a hard time with me - for my taste, it's just too sweet. The scent reminds me a lot of L de Lolita Lempicka, although the powdery aspect thankfully doesn't show up in this case.
But nonetheless - to all who love such fragrances, it's worth a try!

Unfortunately, it doesn't give me much ginger. It starts out citrusy, but the floral and gourmand notes quickly take over. To sweet for me.

This mild, delicate floral opening is quickly suffocated. The same tonka-sweet base note as in Eau du Seducteur emerges. Sorry, no.

Starts off with cinnamon and marzipan-like heliotrope. Fruity notes keep it from being too sweet. It's intriguing, tempting you to sniff.

Overall, it was way too sweet and tonka-heavy for me, feels heavy like syrup. The opening is nice, though. Why does toffee have to be in it?

A strong almond-milk gourmand in tonka vanilla. Long-lasting and intense. Could be niche, is niche, smells like niche.++++

Marzipan-like heliotrope and gourmand sweetness for the cold season, straightforward, no fruits in sight. A bit too much for me.

Mmmh, it's so tempting. Deliciously fruity-almondy-sweet, very pleasing. But a bit subtle. I see it more for spring/summer.

Different from what the bottle suggests:
In the opening, fruity mulled wine, then delicious marzipan...the perfect scent for the Christmas season. YUMMY

Almond-cinnamon heliotrope with a marzipan touch, whose sweetness is balanced by bergamot & orange. A practical, refined gourmand for everyday wear.
