Doped Tuberose
I have discovered this magic fragrance some months ago. It has upsetted my senses. Intoxucating tuberose with the deep frankincense kept me in an other mythical world. Suitable for woman but also for men who likeundertake a mysterious travel of memories. Great longevity and good sillage .

Tuberose? Maybe!
In search of a tuberose fragrance that should smell as authentic as possible to real tuberose, I acquired some samples from ALzD. Among them was "Doped Tuberose" by Gritti.
Tuberose in fragrances was problematic for me until recently. Until I got a real tuberose under my nose.
Not knowing that I had also received a tuberose in my ordered bouquet, I was truly delighted by the scent. The spike held the fragrance for about a week before the delicate petals began to emit a strange stale-rotten smell, which I had also perceived in some fragrances that listed tuberose.
The scent of a spike immediately filled our entire apartment. And now I realized that what I had previously perceived as tuberose, both positively and negatively, was mostly more or less indolic mixtures of white flowers and other ingredients. Due to my ignorance, I could not really identify any tuberose from this mixture.
Well, I can now thanks to the perception of a real tuberose spike.
Perhaps pure tuberose scent, whether natural or from synthetic fragrance materials, cannot be used alone in perfumes and therefore needs to be blended.
I can certainly understand that tuberoses, even as real flowers with many spikes, could be very overwhelming and suffocating.
As antagonists in tuberose fragrances, I envision brightening ingredients, light flowers, a certain sweetness, subtle spices for support, and light delicate aromatic wood notes.
But patchouli and incense (I did not smell them individually in "Doped Tuberose") are, in my opinion, too strong and unharmonious in relation to tuberoses.
Because what I perceived in "Doped Tuberose" has, in my opinion, nothing to do with tuberose as the protagonist in this scent.
"Doped Tuberose" was immediately for me an indifferent, almost unharmonious floral chypre during testing. Very traditional, yes, old-fashioned. "Doped Tuberose" is very strong in sillage, a mix of sweet "breathtaking white flowers with other non-distinguishable ingredients. It seems to me that a lot of ingredients were used here that are not mentioned in the pyramid.
Additionally, I smelled soapy aldehydes during the progression as well as hints of something like civet-animalic. This could be caused by the abundant use of indole in the fragrance mixture of the white flowers.
The sillage and longevity are quite impressive. "Doped Tuberose" intensifies in projection during its progression.
After a few hours, I concluded that "Doped Tuberose" is a perfume somewhere between "Tosca" Extrait, the modern reformulated version, Anais Anais, and Dia Woman by Amouage.
Or to put it differently: "Doped Tuberose" is a perfume type of this floral chypre.
Unfortunately, I could no longer tolerate it and washed it off, which was easily possible. This, in turn, suggests good ingredients.
However, the reference fragrances I mentioned were and are more refined, more carefully composed. "Doped Tuberose," on the other hand, appears to me to be a somewhat coarser parody of those fragrances.
Anyone who is fond of the lush and often heavy floral perfumes from the last quarter of the 20th century and mourns them should test "Doped Tuberose."
I would have liked to write a more enthusiastic and positive first review.

Unisex tuberose scent that develops soapy and woody notes in the base. An alternative to JdE's Marlowe, which has more edges and character.

Tuberose? Maybe. Very intense - traditionally floral Chypre - overwhelming - soapy - aldehydic - sweet, about between Tosca + Dia Woman and similar.

A tuberose that really kicks in during the first 3 minutes, (don't be put off!) then the scent becomes aromatic - soapy - really rounded and beautiful! - Unisex

Modern presentation with fresh and (art-)woody elements.
Delicate green tuberose, warm finale. Very soapy! Rather masculine.

Floral expected, got Chypre.
Spicy, soapy, old-fashioned, and suitable for older women.
Does Chypre often have to be a harsh soap?
