Summer coast
Imagine a long walk on sun-soaked, heat-beating stones along the Croatian coastline filled with green grasses and freshly picked fruit from the trees on the island of Istria. This is what Pomelo sorrento is all about. An interesting fragrance, giving us a breath of freshness and the warmth of the summer.
The bottle is gorgeous. The imitation of the cap as a stone is very well reproduced. Gritii's distinctive little gold plate perfectly captures the feel of the holiday season. The appearance of the bottle has been wrapped in a very nice colour of turquoise pleasant to the eye.
Upon opening the bottle, a strong note of bitter pomelo and citrusy grapefruit is thrown in our direction. These give a very fruity vibe to this fragrance. They are intense but fade away fairly quickly against the background of the green tea. The tea is very pleasant, but a little bland and not very aromatic after a while. However, this does not detract from the fragrance, as it is filled with white flowers and vetiver, which bring in that island vibe. Personally, I find the rose and amber almost undetectable, but maybe only in my case.
Overall, the fragrance is pleasantly citrusy green and warm in a holiday/lipical sense. It is not long-lasting for an eau de parfum, as we would expect from something summer-like. It is both suitable for a man and a woman looking for something pretty but not extraordinary. I think the price is exorbitant, and you can easily find fragrances cheaper and nicer. To be honest, we are paying a bit for the logo and not the perfume itself.
