I know you’re probably wondering what my title means, especially why breasts (and yes, I definitely mean women’s breasts) should be blurry… this story, which everyone actually laughs about (including me, even though I’m the one suffering here…), I will tell you after the fragrance description. So just be patient… *sigh*
Anyway, I’m glad to have experienced the Gritti fragrances, as they are truly fabulous (thanks for the travel package!). Especially if you’re looking for something beautiful and good for summer or vacation, you’ve come to the right place. And if you have to spend the summer at home this year, you can bring a piece of vacation home with this fragrance, at least in terms of atmosphere. Especially when it’s as extremely hot as it is today…
The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off very delicious, if you like citrus notes. I smell a strong, zesty orange peel, slightly bitter, but incredibly refreshing and pleasant. There’s a bit of lemon as well. The top note reminds me of a slightly softer version of Concentrée d’Orange Verte by Hermès.
However, the progression smells different from the also beautiful Hermès fragrance. Because from the heart note onwards, a light musk note comes in, giving the fragrance a slightly warm sweetness without taking away its refreshing zest. Although the warmth could also come from the resinous-smelling galbanum. It’s probably more the galbanum, as the musk becomes hardly noticeable soon, while the resinous notes of the galbanum continue to improve.
The base remains citrusy-orange with a slightly woody background. You can still smell a bit of the galbanum, as I can still detect resinous notes. A little later, the fragrance (probably due to the vanilla) gets a slightly soft and powdery note, which is also quite pleasant, even though it’s almost a strange transition (from zesty citrus to powdery soft). However, the powdery aspect isn’t very strong, and one could say it’s more creamy later on. The vanilla isn’t very noticeable, but the amber, which is also rated weakly, contributes a lot to the overall composition of the fragrance with its warm and pleasant sweetness. It’s nice that the citrus notes last well into the base, even if they naturally shouldn’t smell as zesty later on.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage isn’t the best, but at least when spraying, it has a nice refreshing effect and remains somewhat detectable afterwards, at least up close. Unfortunately, it belongs to the fragrances that need to be reapplied occasionally if you want to enjoy the scent. But that’s something you’re used to with summer fragrances!
The longevity is about six hours, but the fragrance becomes quite weak after three to four hours. While it’s still nice then, you have to reapply it earlier if you want to repeat the fresh effect.
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular, slim, and tall. It’s green and has a gold-plated label on the front with the name of the fragrance. The highlight is the beautiful cap, which is smooth and marble-like, adding great value to the bottle. I think the bottles are well-designed.
Oooh, the fragrance is very suitable for vacation spots. Especially by the sea, where the waves break beautifully, and you just want to throw yourself into the water. Because with the orange, you have a wonderfully refreshing note on hot and very sunny days, and the resinous aspect could almost symbolize peace and relaxation. So whether you want to quietly read a book in a shady spot outdoors in warm weather or while you’re relaxing on the beach under the sun, just enjoying yourself. Of course, it’s actually all over with the peace when the waves are breaking beautifully and wildly at the sea, making you want to jump into the water :D
Like once on vacation with one of my favorite friends. The waves were crashing wildly, and I, being a fool, kept throwing myself against them, which was a lot of fun. Foolish because I didn’t have contact lenses and instead went into the water with a cheap spare pair of glasses. Of course, what had to happen happened: I lost my glasses in the water. But it got worse! My friend’s bikini top slipped at the exact moment I lost my glasses. Even though as a good and decent buddy you naturally point it out to her, you still SEE in that moment that something is… well… slipping on a girl! But being the unlucky guy that I am, I only saw blurry breasts!! And the worst part: I was also a few meters away, which means that from that distance, smaller, colorful details like nipples blend even more and mix with the sun-kissed skin tone, so that the entire upper body area appears just in one single, sun-kissed skin color, without any details… *siiiiigh*
Sure, I wouldn’t have stared at her, but in that brief moment, I probably would have thought “Wow!” like a man… if only the breasts hadn’t been so blurry, argh… *sniff* … :DD
For everyone else, it must have been a really great sight, waaah!!!
I urgently need contact lenses!!!! :DD
Well, maybe next time, he he he :D
Hmm, does anyone want to go to the sea with me? *looks very sweet* :DD
So… if you’re looking for a great fragrance for summer and/or vacation, you should definitely take a sniff here. It could be very worthwhile!
