The best niche citric?
As someone who liked the Afternoon Swim, but found it a little too spicy for the "one-dimensional" fragrance, I was all the happier to find a really good alternative here. After the Allure Homme Sport Cologne has the best designer citrus note for me - here comes a niche candidate.
Tangerina clearly follows the same scent direction as Mandarino di Amalfi Eau de Parfum. Various high-quality citrics, a mixture of mandarin and lemon. Beautifully crafted - not artificial, dull or too sweet. Just the right mix between fresh, tart notes and fruitiness.
It retains its fragrance character after the great opening and simply becomes weaker over time. However, the basic note remains the same - which I find very pleasant for a fresh fragrance of this type.
The ginger and a very slight sweet note in the base (probably caramel) don't just make it a "normal" fresh scent, but give it a note of its own.
I also like it better here than the Afternoon Swim - slightly more bitter but with that special note. This also makes it ideal for midsummer, as it has no sticky sweetness.
Whether designer or niche, I have never smelled a "better", more authentic citrus note. It's not a "complex" fragrance, but it does what it sets out to do impressively.
Longevity and silage, not particularly good - it's no match for the competition.
