For me, the worst of the three.

I loved it, despite the negative reviews, it's a great fragrance, the oud and saffron mix nicely, without being too heavy, it lasts a long time, it's unconventional but very pleasant. Looks a bit like kalan from PDM, not for a blind buy but weirdly nice and addictive, yet it is the worst of the three special editions. For me the best is "Oud", followed by "Aromatic", which has a great resemblance to Fleur de Male from JPG and Custo Man.

Beginners look no further

This is one of the best beginners ouds. Strong, manly yet rosey oud. Oud is a particularly strong wood note, that smells wet, and alike to a damp animal. This stuff is very well blended with synthetics to create a masterpiece oud. While there are ALOT of rose oud combos, this is very safe, as compared to something like Luna by ATH. If your scared or want a safer oud experience, this is nice!

My favourite Boss

Granted, I am not a big Boss fragrance fan and my second favourite probably is Boss Number one (the real vintage one) but Oud Saffron stands out to me! I love both the darkness, deepness of Oudh and the spicy components of Saffron.

This has both and plenty of it. The slight sweetness to it might or might to be the indicated rose. Probably is, because it in itself has a certain spice or metallic feel to it. Maybe a rose oxide or something similar.

To me, this is as close of a master piece as you might get from a house like Boss on designer perfume shelves.

Only caveat is, I do not think you can wear this in summer. This is dark, heavy, full bodies and radiates warmth. One of the very perfumes of which I purchased a second bottle to keep for the future.

Not Your Typical Boss

As a long-time admirer of the classic Boss Bottled DNA and a seasoned explorer of Oud fragrances, I finally took the plunge and blind-bought Hugo Boss Oud Saffron after a positive initial impression years ago. While it doesn't disappoint, those expecting the familiar Boss DNA will be surprised. This is a distinct and powerful Rose/Oud composition in its own right.
Forget any rumored plastic opening; on my skin, it's an immediate and potent burst of Rose, quickly followed by a touch of saffron and then the undeniable richness of heavy Oud. The dry down is where this fragrance truly shines, evolving into a lovely and long-lasting scent.
Projection is beastly, easily lasting over 12 hours on my skin. For a winter fragrance from Hugo Boss, I find it easily worth the money. However, a word of caution: unless you have a genuine love for prominent Rose and Oud notes, this is probably not a safe blind buy.

Such a magnetic scent from Hugo Boss

This is one of my favorite saffron fragrances currently, its not too oudy or banyardy to me, all i got are this saffron sweetness that are complimented by the grounded oud, they make an amazing duo.

At the top you got this first blast of watery saffron, but also a bit leathery nuance to it. Then it becomes oudy just for little bit.
The drydown are some of my favorite part of this fragrance. It becomes this sour-ish sweetness, kinda tart like a plum like note, it smells so good.

Sour saffron with a hint of oud, crazy value if you could find it, such a nice scents to wears. Love it!
