Cedar and Incense Magic

Stunning Fragrance ! Elegant, Classy, Woody, Spicy, Rich, Airy, Modern, Mysterious and Complex. Houbigant House is very old in Perfumery with High Quality and Well-blended Composition. Bois Mystique is a
Highly Addictive Scent and I fell in love with it at first sniff, The Incense note is Truly Magical from the opening up to the dry down. I tried it in store and I received a sample of that last week then I bought it yesterday. I really enjoy it and I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. It opens up with slightly smoky fresh spicy, floral and spices notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet warm spicy, balsamic resinous, ambery and woody. The Incense , Cardamom, Myrhh and Cedar notes are dominant in this perfume. The Art of bottle design is very Luxurious Similar to Precious Crystal. Longevity is good. Now Bois Mystique is one of my favorite Top Ten.
Highly Recommended.

A sophisticated office scent

Bois Mystique by House of Houbigant, aside from Duc de Vervins, I just cannot find bad fragrances by this house. It is amazing how a house can make such beautiful and amazing scents. I find that all of their scents are classic scents, meant or could be worn with a suit, or formal clothing.

In the opening of the fragrance I miss the pink pepper, or miss, I do not smell it, I like it however, that I do not smell the pink pepper. The neroli comes greatly forward in my opinion, and creates a versatile freshness. I have a tester of this fragrance, and what stood out to me is that Bois Mystique is less strong than the other fragrances, Tabac Nomad, Oud Or or Patchouli Sauvage, which is not nessecarily a bad thing of course. I think that it flatters this fragrance even more, because this fragrance is not meant to be a shouter. The sillage is for me around 30 to 40 centimeters which I think is great. Not all fragrances should have astronomical large sillages, depending on the fragrance on where to you will wear it, the sillage should be adjusted.

From what I smell, Bois Mystique could be worn to any occasion, just like the designer fragrances like Bleu de Chanel and Dior Sauvage. I sprayed Bleu de Chanel on other wrist than Bois Mystique and something very interesting happened. Bleu de Chanel came forward as sweeter than usual after I smelled Bois Mystique. Back to Bois Mystique itself, creamy, clean notes come forward with a hint of spices or wood. For me this fragrance would be one I would were to whatever, a fragrance I would put on if I do not know what to wear or just do not want to think about what I want to wear. It is a great fragrance, a great fragrance which is good at many if not all occasions, but not the best at all occasions. However this fragrance is one of the best office fragrances I know of, it leaves me speechless if I try to explain why. The only words that come to mind is that it is clean, creamy and soft.

Definetly a recommendation!!

Classic and fresh Woody perfume

I could try this fragance thanks to a samples set from houbigant that i have recived with my last purchase in a perfume shop. This one of the fragances that i have liked the less. It has a good quality as most of houbigants bit ir is too classic and lineal for me. It is a fresh Woody perfume that, even when i can feel the high quality, i think i wouldnt feel confidence wearing It. I think It is an elegant smell oerfect to be worn un the Office ir for a daily use.

Wonderful Woody Mystery

Very Warm and super nice Scent.
Such nice Wood Scents and wonderful Spices.
and it feels like Home. Like a homely room with a fireplace.
This is the perfect warm fragrance for that winter time.
Also highly recommended for guys with longer beards. It smell wonderful.
I also put an extra spray on the wrist, so I can smell for myself from time to time.
I love it!

Under the Spell of the Mystical!

As a fan of Creed's Royal Oud, I had to try this!

Wow…what an elegant gentleman's scent! Slightly sweet, yet spicy and woody. The first fragrance in a long time where I can truly pick out all the listed ingredients. A very successful composition, if it weren't for the one really major drawback: the longevity and sillage! The scent becomes so close to the skin after a maximum of 30 minutes that it’s hardly perceptible. I don't even want to talk about projection into the surrounding area…nothing reaches out.

Still, I will keep my 100ml bottle and apply it generously next time, just to see if that might help…or perhaps layer it with Iso E Super (Molecule 01).

Conclusion: successful fragrance composition with significant longevity/sillage weakness for men aged 40+.
