Nice Woody perfume by jo malone

This is my second favourite perfume from the new lavenderland collection by jo Malone. My favourite is lavender & wisteria (probably 8.1) for smell but very close comes this silver birch & lavender (7.9). The smell is very pleasant. It has some similarities with other perfumes that yann vasnier has made for this brand. It shares fornexample the same vibe that the roasted OAK gives to the fragance in english OAK & hazelnut ir un the redcurrant one, or even the hemlock & bergamota. At the same time It has something common with other perfumes of yann vasnier like toy boy by moschino. The birch gives Also something yo the dry down which makes me think of aventus by creed (but without any fruity or sweet note) and the lavander gives to the mix some similarities with 154 also by jo Malone. In the background this perfume has some aniseed feeling very close to the vibe that you can find in the background of bronze wood and leather.

Regarding to performance, this one has the BEST longevity and projection in the collection and It could be, probably, one of the fragances in the whole jo Malone collection with BEST performance. SB&L lasts for hours on skin and It is noticeable for one or two hours easyly. This is not a beast but i havent tied any JM London fragance which could be considered as a beast til the moment. Si probably if we take in count the whole fragance and not only the smell could be even better than W&L for myself.

This perfume is for me totally unisex, probably even more masculine than femenino and very versatile, weareable at any time and for almost any occasion. Recommendable for lavender lovers ir the ones wwho likes the classical Green and fresh fougere scents.

Clear, Bright, and Calm

The eyes slowly open. Light, thin, cool bed linens lie over you. Fresh and clean, as if they have just been hung up. Everything in the room is wrapped in warm white - the ceiling, the walls of light birch wood, the light. A gust of wind from the open window gently moves the curtains, allowing the clear morning air to flow into the room.
With the first deep breath, various impressions blend together. Not far away, a river flows - far enough that its scent is not directly perceivable, but close enough that its moisture enriches the air with a cool, fresh note. A mix of wood, cool stone, and perhaps a hint of moss. The birch walls radiate their dry, bright wood note, which combines with a light citrus freshness, as if it were rising from the bed linens.
Outside the window, an open meadow spreads out. The grass is barely noticeable, yet the lavender in front of the window adds a fine, aromatic accent to the air. Further back, birches rise at the edge of the forest, their silver trunks glowing in the morning sun. Their bark gives off an almost peppery, slightly smoky freshness that is carried over by the wind.
The sun slowly rises higher. Its light shines on the wooden floor, which absorbs the warmth and gently releases it again. The air remains fresh, but with each passing minute, it becomes a little softer.
A morning - clear, bright, and calm

Top Note:
Grapefruit - Zesty, cool, and invigorating. Like a fresh breeze in the morning that flows through the room. It does not remain dominant for long but gently transitions into the heart note.

Heart Note:
True lavender - Aromatic and clean. Brings a light herbal note reminiscent of bed linens. It stays in the background the whole time and feels somewhat grassy and green.

Base Notes:
Roasted oak adds warmth to the fragrance, but the smokiness is only faintly perceptible.
White birch - Dry and finely woody, with a gentle freshness. A base that is surprisingly well noticeable despite its light nature.

Conclusion:
A fresh, woody-aromatic fragrance - clear, airy, and warm at the same time. Perfect for a bright morning full of calm and lightness.

I expected more from this brand...

... for a rather high price of the products, I find the price-performance ratio not particularly good. The fragrance pyramid is actually very promising but unfortunately does not deliver what it promises.

Upon applying this scent, the first thing that hits the nose is the freshness of grapefruit, which is only present for a very short time and then shifts to lavender, which also doesn't last very long. Following that are the woods, which are simply dry.

The longevity and sillage are average.

This unisex fragrance can be worn year-round for any occasion. There is also no age restriction here.

Anyone who enjoys a briefly fresh and then woody scent will find themselves well placed here for quite a bit of money.
