Juicy, fruity, floral, but something synthetic too
I had gotten a free sample of Elle Anniversary at my local boutique. While never having smiled the original Elle for comparison, I get a bit of an understanding of what the Elle DNA is about: florals and soft fruits. However, comparing the notes between the two fragrances, I notice that the Anniversary is much more fruit-heavy than the flor-iginal.
I get a blast of synthetic lychee and licorice at the start, along with some bubbly bergamot. A slight sort of saltiness starts after five minutes, which builds slowly and tickles my nostrils.
A nice fruity, floral scent that has a strange synthetic quality that doesn't rest with me well.
Beautiful bottle but absurd pricing. This fragrance does not last or project much. Two or three hours of fairly strong projection and it completely disappears by the seventh or eighth hour.
I had given my sample away to my neighbor (she's a peony and licorice fan) and she loves it.
