unripe red plum

rose and lime combined to smell like a red, acidic plum. its very sharp and tart. i wouldn't overspray as this seems like a fragrance that could cause headaches in some. I'm not a big fan of Delina but I don't hate her. the sour juicy rose in this, however, does remind me of the one in Atomic Rose by Initio, and I enjoy that tremendously. I'm not saying this is a dupe for AR (its not), but that is what makes me like this.
i don't recall Delina being this harsh on the nose.

A soapy rose

Poetique opens alcoholic, and then becomes this cheerful rose fragrance with a fruity touch by the lychee. It dries down somewhat sweet, soapy and musky, though the brightness still peeks through. To me this is a perfect simple post-shower scent. It smells clean and happy without being boring.
It does take about 30 seconds for the alcohol to fully evaporate, which is not very pleasant.

Delina in the opening is immediately more layered, it plays with mildly sharp aspects (probably the rhubarb which is stronger there) and is a rose with a thorns, some interest. The lychee there lifts the musk and keeps it much more afloat and fresh. It lifts off the skin and is therefore the brighter and slightly more complex of the two, but only by a hair or two in my opinion. The longevity and sillage of Delina are of course also better (which honestly would be embarrassing if that wasn't the case).

Delina to me is milder in the drydown and therefor a little more sophisticated. The musky soap that I get in Poetique is distinctly more powdery in Delina.

So the differences to me are very slight, yet perceptible. I don't get frankincense or nutmeg in either, but that might be an untrained nose or just weird skin chemistry. Everything that makes Delina good (except for the sharp rhubarb opening, sadly) is present in Poetique.

My view as the original Delina Girl

I have to mention right away that I'm a Delina girl through and through. I have all three versions, for every occasion, every season and every weather. I love Delina La Rosée the most.
Out of boredom, I tested this fragrance in the drugstore to shorten my waiting time at the checkout.

The first spray - puhhhhhh - and immediately back on the shelf. The price confirmed the first impression - it's nothing.
I have to be honest at this point and say that I haven't been able to do anything with La Rive so far.

However, as I wanted to test this fragrance deliberately, I gave it a chance and tested it.

After about 30 minutes with body heat, it slowly develops.

At this point I have to say - the Delina DNA is clearly recognizable!
But less complex, less strong and a little prickly on the nose. One note bothers me extremely, which must probably be the artificial rhubarb and lychee note. Quite scratchy.

After another 1-2 hours, the fragrance finally starts to inspire me.
It has become relatively weak and the scratchy note has completely disappeared as a result.

After 3 hours it is quite creamy, and very beautiful and delicate. But clearly close to the body.

What remains is a tepid little water that has the Delina DNA, for me in the direction of Delina La Rosée.
Quite simple and without depth.

BUT, on the whole, this is not to say that the fragrance is bad.

For 7 euros, the fragrance is really okay and you can't go far wrong with it. I actually quite like it.

Of course, it lacks the complexity and the high quality, but if you can live with that - go for it!

I have already tested several Delina dupes and this one was the most beautiful.

Feel like a princess for once

First of all, I have to come out and admit that I don't know the original fragrance of which this is supposed to be a dupe. Unfortunately, there are no expensive niche fragrances in the perfumeries I go to. But if I ever have the honor of testing Delina, I will be very happy to do so.

This perfume took me two tries. Curious to see what a cheap perfume from the drugstore that claims to smell like a €160 perfume can do, I sprayed it onto a test strip. It immediately ended up in the bin. Having already sniffed several perfumes, this one just seemed "too much" to me, sour, tiring.

Nevertheless, I couldn't get rid of the hype surrounding Delina (I spend a lot of time on tiktok and you often see this chic pink bottle there). So I wanted to give the dupe another chance. I went to the drugstore again and this time I headed straight for the La Rive fragrances. I grabbed the pink bottle and boldly sprayed it on my arms several times. Then I walked around and looked for other errands.
Meanwhile, I kept catching myself sniffing my arms.

It didn't stop at home either, I had to keep sniffing it. The next day, I put on my sweater and wondered what smelled so good. Then I remembered: I had sprayed myself with Poetique. And I was in love.

Now to the fragrance:
You really have to test it on your skin. On my skin, the initial sourness was quickly gone and I was left with something delicate, sweet and sugary.
The fragrance is really extremely girly, like a bouquet of roses. It reminds me of fairytale castles and ballerinas (and I danced ballet for 15 years myself).
Yes, for most people it may be terribly over-sugared and kitschy, the pink ball gown, the prince charming on the white horse. An illusion. But sometimes that's exactly what we women need to feel like a princess.
At least for a few hours.

Solid drugstore spring fragrance

In addition to my designers & niche, I have started testing drugstore & Arabic fragrances & have to say that I like many of them.
Among other things, I gave the dupe brand LaRivre a chance.
The Poetique is a fragrance that is supposed to resemble the DNA of the popular Delina Eau de Parfum.
Since I don't own the fragrance, but have 3 dupes, I can say that the dupes are at least similar.
The beginning is not so intoxicating but that changes within minutes and a dominant beautiful lychee with rose come through.
Over time the fruity, floral fresh scent yields becomes slightly creamier & warmer which I find very nice.
For the price you can't go wrong, but I think the dupe from Caline Elexir Floral is a little better.
