La Vie est... Boring!
Dear community,
I like the La Vie est Belle - series!
So, now it's out.
(Oh dear, do I see the angry mob with pitchforks on the horizon?! *ducks away*)
For many of you, this, especially the classic LVEB, is the epitome of boredom. Uninspiring, or worse: The ultimate mainstream! *shivers*
But I stand by it and was of course completely thrilled when I first heard about the latest flanker "Intensement." The desire to test it was awakened immediately, and at the first opportunity, I jumped in blindly.
Shortly after spraying, you perceive the familiar LVEB DNA for a minimal short time. However, this quickly gives way to a sea of red fruits. In the top note, it is said that raspberry is responsible for this. However, I can't specifically identify it. Rather, it seems as if all kinds of red berries have agreed to a flash mob.
Well, what can I say... From this moment on, you wait eagerly but unfortunately in vain for the scent to change again. Where are the red iris, the red vanilla, or the benzoin? It seems as if they just managed to get to safety in time. Safe, from the invasion of the red berries!
The floral notes of the heart note have also (warning, pun!) heartily decided to stay away from the event.
At most, a slight powderiness drizzles down on the fruit bombs towards the end of the scent's progression. However, these cannot be properly contained.
I am really disappointed. Only the pretty bottle in Bordeaux red can excite me. Aside from that, this is a narcotic red fruit soup that robs me of my senses.
Thus, I will stick with the predecessors LVEB EdP Intense and L'Absolu and patiently wait for the next flanker. Because it will surely come!
