Hello everyone,
now we are already at my 300 (!) review and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for the feedback, the responses, and so on!
Recently, as usual, I bought a bottle of
Harrods pour Homme BLIND and why exactly? Partly because of the bottle, the exciting fragrance pyramid, and yes ... possibly also because of the exclusivity and the fact that it is quite rare here....
In hindsight, it was a very, very good decision!
The thing is, talking about the bottle, the cap, the sprayer, and the packaging with Roja is possible - some say "tacky," others just think it's great. I lean more towards the second category.
I'll say it right at the beginning because there will be some who say things like "too expensive," "tacky," "overhyped," etc., and I say it openly and honestly as always - YES, I can understand anyone who thinks that way. But the manufacturer (in the niche world) sets the prices, and it's a question of whether to buy or not. No one forces us (thankfully) to buy a product ;) . Therefore, I find the statement rather tedious, unless (!) the price-performance ratio is completely off, then I am someone who communicates that as well, like for example in my recent review of
Perseus ....
However, this is solely about
Harrods pour Homme!
Essentially, it is a citrusy, creamy lavender scent with noticeable green-spicy and woody phases. However, this brief description doesn't even come close to doing it justice, because it is so much more!
It covers every single area that I really like!
In the top note, citrus in very high quality (edible citrus basket) with gently creamy aspects, a lavender in absolute perfection (which in combination almost has a fougère effect), then this ultra-complex area consisting of, among other things, oak moss, with 1 or 2 spicy notes and the noticeable woody moments with, among other things, cashmere wood, and finally a vetiver that even I love 100%... creates, at the end of the day, a beautiful fragrance!
My 3 all-time favorites in the signature category are:
Place 1:
Reflection 45 or
Reflection Man (among other things because of my wedding
+ it was my first niche fragrance in 2012)
Place 2: "17/17 - Richwood | XerJoff"
Place 3:
Harrods pour Homme In an extremely short time, it became one of my greatest favorites - really. That's why my test recommendation is a must!
Regarding longevity/sillage:
So it lasts about 9 to 10 hours, which is why I give it an 8.5 ;)
The sillage is a bit quieter after 2 to 3 hours, but I find this point good - why?
I have many "powerhouse" fragrances and I simply cannot wear those scents on certain occasions because they are too potent and too overpowering for most people. Many of us enjoy such scents, and to be honest, I also find it nice when my fragrance is strong (making a statement, being noticed, etc.), but there are also moments, like in the car, train, airplane, etc., where you shouldn't wear something like "Nefs | Nishane," "Mana | Nishane," "Hacivat Oud | Nishane," or my old "Amber Star | XerJoff," or my "beastly 21'er" "Tony Iommi Monkey Special | XerJoff," but rather something discreet, elegant, and extremely chic, and that, in my opinion, is when
Harrods pour Homme shines.
It is an incredibly friendly, pleasant, and well-groomed scent for a gentleman who has seen and experienced a lot. This means, I wouldn't recommend it for an 18-year-old. But from 25 or 30, it works fine. Roja fragrances often have this mature vibe, which
Harrods pour Homme almost completely lacks.
Just as a side note, it has been received incredibly well, and the ladies (ages 20 - 66) have found it very, very good.
If I really weren't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny
