Lemon or orange gourmand recommendations

Lemon or orange gourmand recommendations 3

Looking to add yet another citrus gourmand to my collection and would love some recommendations! It doesn't necessarily have to be gourmand but must have a bit of sweetness. 😁🍊🍋

For reference I already own the following:

Xerjoff's Lira

Solstice Scent's Chiffon

CJ Scents Lemonilla

Akro's Bake

Dries Van Noten's Jardin de l'Orangerie (not gourmand but it is sweet)

Lush's Chelsea Morning

Forvr Mood's Hard to Get

4160 Tuesday's Lemon Sherbet

I've tested D&G's Devotion which I hated because it smelled like a citrus household cleaning product, but did enjoy Devotion Intense. I also owned and threw away Al Rehab's Soft because it smelled like a toilet bowl cleaner, unfortunately. I also didn't like Kerosene's Unknown Pleasures.

The Architects Club is often mentioned in this way. A lemony vanilla cocktail. I had a sample and it does have some sweetness but not overtly gourmand.

Oyédo smells like orange creamsicle to me

2

Orange Sanguine smells like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice.

Gioiosa might fit the bill!

Kayali's Lemon Sugar might work for you! Many gourmand-aligned citrus fragrances smell like cleaning products to me, but this one doesn't - it has pretty strong lemon preserve/lemon syrup vibes. It is a very linear fragrance, though. You might also enjoy Theodoros Kalotinis' Lemon Tart, if the strong pie crust note is up your alley.

Thank you so much everyone! So many awesome recommendations I've never heard of before! 🤩🍋🍊

Tauer Orange Star, Lemon Meringue by Demeter

I'll definitely check out Orange Star! How's the longevity on Demeter's Lemon Meringue? It sounds awesome, but I've seen many reviews that state that Demeter fragrances don't last very long. @gythia

Demeter fragrances are colognes so they aren't really strong and don't last, but I think they're still worth having. I've collected a bunch of their travel sprays.

@gythia totally agree with you! Some Demeter colognes actually last a decent amount of time, but many do not. I think their appeal is more in the novelty of how realistic their fragrances are, and how unique some of them can be (like Glue Cologne and Funeral Home Cologne) - rather than longevity. I personally love them.

@Scentedbyte highly recommend ordering samples from Demeter's site if you're concerned about longevity, since the samples are very cheap!

More citrus gourmands to add to your list:
Orange Cream Pop Cologne - photorealistic orange creamsicle
Melted Popsicle. / Orange Ice Cream (they are the same fragrance)
Bitter Orange & Chocolate - Terry's orange-flavored chocolate "citrus" slices
Meringue Magique - chocolate-covered orange jelly sticks

I've drafted a blog post of gourmand lemons, including some not yet mentioned in comments above - so I'll share that soon. But since you said you're also interested in sweet (not necessarily gourmand), here are a few more that are still sweet but lean "refreshing" for warmer weather:
Sweet Citrus Scents for Summer

Hope you have fun trying all the scents everyone has shared! 😊🍊🍋

Thank you for these wonderful recommendations! I just read over your Sweet Citrus blog and became intrigued by Nest's Seville Orange perfume oil, though I see it doesn't last long ): Also, I'll be on the lookout for your lemon gourmand blog post! You could also tag me here once you publish it if you want/are able to! @Gourmandgrl I'm always on the lookout for great citrus scents 🍊🍰🍦and yes I have a long list of samples to buy now lol!

Ive been talking about this alot because i abosolutely love it. Calda There's no orange notes but to me it smells like this mandarin yogurt desert my mother used to make when i was a child. It was so nostalgic i had to buy it despite not being that fond of the bottle design.

You’ve got a solid collection already! If you're looking for another citrus gourmand with a good balance of sweetness, here are a few you might enjoy:

🍋 Gallivant - Los Angeles – A unique take on citrus with a creamy, slightly sweet base. It’s got a warm, musky vanilla undertone that gives it a subtle gourmand feel.

🍊 Maison Tahité - Vanillade – Not a full-on citrus bomb, but it has a beautiful blend of bright lemon and vanilla that gives it a soft, dessert-like feel without being cloying.

🍋 Atelier des Ors - Blanc Polychrome – Has a juicy citrus opening with a sweet, musky drydown. It’s fresh but has just enough warmth to keep it from feeling like a straight-up summer cologne.

🍊 Eau des Baux by L’Occitane – A bit different from what you listed, but it has a cozy vanilla-resin sweetness that plays well with citrus.

Also, totally get what you mean about Devotion smelling like a cleaning product—some citrus scents just have that effect :/

If you’re interested in more affordable options you could try these:)

Soft Eau de Parfum - A sweet lemon pound cake fragrance.

Qissa Delicious by Paris Corner - Vanilla, marshmallow, whipped cream. Contrary to what that might make you believe, it’s not too sweet! I think it might be the coconut and/or musk balancing this out. It feels more cozy and lotion-y than overly sweet to me. I also get a bit of the orange, which makes it a “happy” perfume for me. (sadly I can’t tag this, because the brand is not available on Parfumo).

Miel Bébé - I loooove this one. It’s a mandarin honey scent. It just smells “happy” to me! A little sweet from the honey note, but not too sweet because the woodiness from the sandalwood balances it out.

Nasheet - Not in the listed notes, but I (and other people according to reviews) do get some citrus in the opening. Similar to Ani Extrait de Parfum . Then it dries down nice and aromatic. While always keeping some sweetness.

@Scentedbyte here's the gourmand lemon blog article since it's finally posted, apologies for my delay! I'm with you in always needing more sweet citruses in my life lol so if you end up discovering any others, I would always love to hear about them! 🤗

And yay I really hope you enjoy Seville Orange Perfume Oil , it's so lovely (and maybe it will last longer for you than it does on my skin - I've also heard the mist version has decent longevity)! If you test it, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Happy citrus sniffing! 🍋🍊🍰🍦

Personally, the only citrus I keep coming back to again and again after testing so many other citrus fragrances, has to be Mandarine Sultane

1

If you wanna try a lemon one that smells the summer, try: Cedro di Diamante

1

Shalimar EDT

Maybe this is a strange suggestion since it's not a gourmand, but Shalimar EDT dries down to an incensy lemon pound cake for me.

1

After Bake and Unknown Pleasures you could try an underrated Lignum Vitae

For Oranges you may sample Dulcis in Fundo

7 Virtues Clementine Dream is a solid orange smell.

D&G Devotion smells like a lemon cake.

And NEST has a Seville Orange perfume oil that smells exactly as advertised. Also works well for layering.
