A small (big) insider tip and its problem...
Hello everyone,
today I would like to TALK about a very special fragrance, the Parfum de la Nuit 2 .
Foreword:
I bought this one recently, firstly second-hand of course (more on that later) and primarily because I wanted an "old" batch, I have one from 2020!
Why an old one?
The topic of the batch is a very tiresome and difficult one - why exactly?
Companies like Roja, Xerjoff, MFK, CC and co. have had to adapt their entire lineup from 21 to 22 (IFRA regulation) and with some of them the differences from before to after were less bad and with some really noticeable to really modest. And here with Roja, I find them softer, more pleasing, with fewer rough edges and the performance is less like what it used to be.... good example my Diaghilev Parfum old just under 17 to 20 hours and the new one just under 10 hours and much softer...
Many people also say, yes, but when the fragrance runs out with an old batch... I always say this, I have xx fragrances and several ML or liters of fragrances. If it happens, then it just happens, then I can get something new....
What does it smell like:
It's warm, woody, slightly sweet, slightly smoky and VERY alcoholic! And that is sooo great!
Why?
There are more specific directions like this. Certain directions that you don't wear every day. Those styles therefore never lose their charm and magic and that's the same here!
I love these smoky - slightly alcoholic and subtly sweet fragrances, like the Herod, the Vanille Havane Eau de Parfum and also the Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum + Carlisle, so you know which VIBE I mean = the rough direction.
And the Parfum de la Nuit 2 puts the FOCUS and that noticeably on the alcoholic matter. Perhaps it even resembles the Enigma pour Homme Parfum , my DEFINITIVE - mine is from 2015 (!) and the Enigma pour Homme Parfum does not have this cola note = the Parfum de la Nuit 2, it plays with COGNAC and this not only fleetingly as it is unfortunately often the case but very long and certain notes and developments harmonize in the course really 1a!
Purely in the direction of boozy in the upscale (moneyed - stupid word I know) gentleman style, he is my reference.
How is it received and when would I recommend it?
All year round, but only on evenings! At parties, in the bar, cocktail evenings, when eating out and on the DATE.
How is it received - terrific good.
(The matching character (also visually) a 15 out of 10 = safe)
If that's exactly what you want + are looking for... = here!
(I have mine and it has come to stay!)
Nevertheless, it has 1 big problem and that is its price. You don't have to gloss over it or anything else.... it is a fact that it is astronomical and less justified and co. I would gladly recommend it in this respect and even highly, but not at this price, but try it out!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you are reading this review, LG the Benny
_______
(Now the same as almost always - because it's true!)
Now on the subject of luxury:
As you can see in my profile, among other things, I have really smelled many fragrances and there are fragrances where you smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic and you notice quite quickly that some fragrance houses go for quantity rather than quality and there are some where you just realize "oh come on, let's put more + better in" and you can smell this at the end of the day.
Very briefly on the subject of OVP, bottle, sprayer:
I'll make it short, I give it a 10 out of 10 in each category and I know very well that tastes are very different. So if you honestly rate this with a 7 or less... - PUH. Beautiful and very valuable lid, beautiful timeless flacon design etc. .... so I find it very difficult to rate it differently and I'm not saying this because I like a brand or not!
Now a quick word on the subject of my opinion:
I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receive money or anything else. I approach the subject of parfumo as I am, honestly, everything else is not mine. My real personal opinion is worth a lot to me and maybe I hope ;) that you notice that. If I don't like something, e.g. OVP, bottle, sprayer or H/S, then I communicate this!
