A Fragrance that is Born to standout
So I got my hands on this today, and I can already say this new release is beter and higher quality than his previous ones. Not that the others were bad they were great , but this one is simply better. This is a first wear, so I’ll definitely update my thought after more testing and after it has some time to mature.
The fragrance is absolutely beautiful. If Platine Blanc is the fun, playful daily fragrance, then this one is more of a night-time, special-occasion scent. It’s truly unique. It opens with a beautiful note of apple and blood orange. I don’t get much of the cardamom at the start, it will appear more in the dry-down but there is definitely since i sense the fragrances giving those dark, slightly spicy vibe, with woody nuance After a while, the floral notes start to shine while the apple settles down, and the vanilla adds a sweetness — but not an overly sweetness like you might expect from a vanilla no more the elegant calming one .
Performance? So far, it’s good. I’m past the 6-hour mark; it’s no longer projecting strongly, but it’s still there, softly.
Sillage? Right from the opening it pushes hard, but after 10–15 minutes it calms down. It’s not a beast-mode projector, as I mentioned earlier — it’s more of a classy, elegant style of fragrance.
Overall, it’s a wonderful release, easily up there with Platine Blanc, and I feel I’ll enjoy it even more after letting it sit for a month. I’ll also re-test it when the weather gets cooler, because it’s really hot here at the moment. The batch is very recent (10/25), so some maturing will likely improve the performance and bring out certain notes even more.
