When "His Confession" and "Dior Homme Intense" Get Married
Introduction: First of all, I want to say that I only bought a decant. Not the full bottle. I do not regret this decision at all. Not because the scent doesn’t smell good, but because I already have His Confession by Lattafa and Dior Homme Intense (2011).

Best of both worlds?: The fragrance combines for me a dry powderiness with a slight sweetness, light floral hints, and woody accords in the base. From my perspective, it draws from the Dior Homme Intense drawer and captures the lipstick vibe. At the same time, it also takes on the sweetness from His Confession. This makes the scent both sexy and slightly playful, preventing it from coming across as too serious and formal. For me, the fragrance is warm.

My conclusion is: For everyone who likes elegance. Perfect for autumn and winter. The scent enjoys the evening and feels particularly comfortable on dates or for hours spent together. But it also performs solidly at outdoor events, like the Christmas market. In the office, it feels a bit too much for me. The fragrance doesn’t have a special twist and is very linear in its development from start to finish. It becomes warmer towards the end and loses the lipstick-like dryness a bit, in my opinion. Longevity and sillage are good for the price.

Would I get the full bottle?: No. In my view, it’s not worth it. However, for those who neither have His Confession nor Dior Homme Intense, it’s worth testing.

Someone really spiced up the iris!
I really like Dior Homme Intense (2011) a lot. A noble fragrance, whose bottle is slowly but surely running empty for me. This release came just at the right time!

First impression: the bottle looks strange, but the matte color feels quite high-quality. I quickly warmed up to it; however, I do wonder how Arabic houses come up with these wild ideas.

I spray it for the first time and think, certainly inspired by suggestive texts: this is it! But wait a minute, it tickles my nose. Pepper. But quite a bit. The well-known iris note is cleverly woven into this spicy context and gives Thunder an exciting character. It thumps nicely, and you can smell this peppery sweet iris - I like it! And that's why the first association might not be so right after all...

Then it starts to settle down after about half an hour. It becomes creamy, strongly vanilla, almost even cinnamon-like in some places, although this note is not listed. The iris blends with noble gourmand vanilla; I'm talking about wonderful, fine, not overly sweet desserts. No Lattafa synthetics, finely balanced and therefore certainly exciting even for those who are skeptical about vanilla. I love that.

Then the downside: it is weak on the skin. After three hours, it says goodbye, and even the clothes become more neutral. I sprayed it at least 15 times. My partner - usually very sensitive - confirms: hardly noticeable. Damn, that hurts. I liked it so much, this fleeting journey through the iris world. However, I don’t want to rule out that this might change. Maybe it just needs to sit a bit. I would add that here accordingly.

So it really does thunder - it’s the pepper that’s meant. Exciting creation, good idea, quite close to its inspirations, but still an independent contribution to the powdery iris craze!

Powdery Beautiful
Mist I really have a weakness for powdery scents.
Thunder is one of those beautiful fragrances.
Lavender and pink pepper open it up, fortunately I don't perceive any bergamot. Light pencil vibes like in Taboo.
The iris powders everything so beautifully dry, love it. A little vanilla, tonka bean, and some woodiness complete this beautiful scent.
It goes in the direction of Dior Homme Intense (2011), but the fragrance also reminds me a bit of "His Confession | Lattafa / لطافة" and Bois Doré.

Thunder is a really beautiful powdery scent, but unisex! I will wear it with pleasure.

Three in One
Take Dior Homme Intense, Lattafa His Confession, and fill it into the bottle of The Omniscient Mister Thompson. Thunder combines all the good aspects from the three perfumes.

It opens with a powdery dry iris and a note of pepper. Fortunately, this subsides, and this wonderful combination of vanilla, tonka bean, and cedarwood beautifully rounds off the dry powderiness.

A true feel-good scent with addictive potential. The bottle is, of course, inspired by Mr. Thompson and is truly a standout. In terms of performance, Thunder is also very good. For this price, you get a really beautiful perfume. If you like any of the three mentioned perfumes, this is a safe blind buy.

Excited, Tested, Set Aside
The scent has evoked very mixed feelings in me. I was really looking forward to the fragrance, and the bottle is one of the most unique and coolest currently available on the market.

Received the fragrance, unboxed it, and sprayed it on.

At the risk of becoming somewhat unpopular, I must say that for me, it is an upgraded Afnan 9PM.
It starts pleasantly powdery and after a short time on my skin becomes a slightly more floral 9PM.

If you like the DNA, you will definitely love this scent. However, I don't find the hoped-for fragrance notes here, and The Omniscient Mister Thompson can be quite distinctly differentiated.

For me, it's not a dupe, more of an inspired-by.

Really a successful cozy scent. For me, it's a hybrid between Mr. Thompson and Bois Dore. Powdery, slightly vanilla-spicy.

Absolutely unisex. Powdery, elegant & beautiful. 85% Mr. Thompson, Thunder is (so far) missing a bit of the sesame note.

Powdery iris dancing on a bed of creamy vanilla and sesame. A very lovely comfort scent for the price.

Great! A super alternative to DHI, the iris is a bit softer, the scent feels a bit fresher. Good quality. H/S good.

Dry, powdery, slightly green-herbaceous. Starts like Kayaan Classic, then more vanilla comes through. DD is okay, but the opening is rather unpleasant.

Yes, clear parallels to The Omniscient Mister Thompson but also to Acqua di Iris

Iris is elegantly polished,
but then it’s like an elephant pooping on the grass.
Lattafa just chuckles softly: His Confession hits harder.
