Seeking a masculine rose scent with strong life

I absolutely love Matierre Premier. I have Ensens Suave and Falcon Leather...Id like to diversify my collection...At least have ONE "Rose scent"...but i dont want one that is too soft, flowery or bouquet-ish as to come across feminine.

Encens Suave is my reference witches brew for what i absolutely love.

I prefer incensy (Ethiopian Frankincense). Not really gaga over Myrhh. Royal Incense by Omani was a total failure to me as it smelled like the charred bottom of a long since spent incense bowl with cold resinouos residue.

I also love Ambre Sultan, Ambra Aurea, Kutay by Unique's Luxury and Bentley For Men Intense just to name a few... I picked up a few bottles from Olympic Orchards ( Dev1, Dev2 and Hamsa and Blackbird)... I only mention these to give you a rough idea of the olfactory road im curently on.

Any strong boozy (whisky, cognac or brandy with Rose scents?)

Any help or recommendations are appreciated ..

Not sure if any of these would come even remotely close to what you're looking for (as I personally cannot tell when a scent is masculine or feminine; also I don't know if any of them would last as long as you would like), but these are the rose scents that I find not flowery or soft:

I would suggest you to try Santal majuscule. I smelled it not knowing there was a rose note in it and I can say it is quite prominent, at least to my nose.
It's not feminine leaning imo, but not too masculine either, I'd say it's right in the middle. It may worth a try.

I've watched and read some good reviews on Signature Halfeti Black Rose, but I never smelled it, I thought it could be of interest too !

Maybe you could try rose with coffee ? Grand Master was not for me, but I think it's a good perfume if you like rose combined with other notes.

I was in search of a masculine rose and tested various ones. Came up with the following rating, scale 1 to 3 with 3 being best. I rated how prominent the rose note is, how masculine it is and how much I liked the scent. You can find my detailed reviews on the individual fragrance page.

I like Signature Halfeti Black Rose and bought a bottle. (The large bottle with the rose overlay is awesome.) However, since buying it and comparing it to the others, I'd say it's more suited to hot weather, being fresher and lighter.

The other two I liked most and are on my buy list are Toy Boy and Opus XII - Rose Incense. Toy Boy's rose is overshadowed by the strong pepper note. Amouage's Opus XII Rose Incense is nice too, but I didn't get much incense. It has similarities to Egyptian Smoke but is better quality than the Dunhill. All three work well in cooler weather.

I wasn't that impressed with Lyric Man or Brioni Eau de Parfum Éclat .

Someone recommended I try Radical Rose Eau de Parfum but have not done so yet.

I love them all but I'm also fairly easy to please so have fun researching.

It’s a bit controversial and not for everyone, but once the animalic and metallic top notes fade (and on me, they fade quickly), Bull's Blood (2023) is a big, masculine, main-character-energy red-rose-and-patchouli scent that can linger for a day or more. Very dramatic, very alluring.

Radical Rose Extrait de Parfum and Hermann à mes Côtés me Paraissait une Ombre are long-lasting and masculine, but not boozy at all. The boozy one would be West Side which has clear alcohol undertones; it sits right in the middle, neither too masculine nor too feminine.

My top 3 roses are (not in order):

Deified Tony Iommi Deep leather & rose with fruity and boozy undertones (no booze notes, probably the combo of apple, saffron, etc.)

Opus XII - Rose Incense getting a bottle some time in the near future. Rosey, inky, and myrrh, unique as a rose incense.

Blue Sapphire Supercharged Rose-oud combo, but the rose is clean, and the oud is woody, not fecal. Opulent.

as others have already suggested Opus XII - Rose Incense

Based on what you like, you’ll probably want a dark, resinous rose, not a clean floral one. Look for rose paired with incense, booze, leather, or amber. those keep it firmly masculine.
Something like a rose-oud or rose-incense Eau de Parfum will give you the depth and strength you’re after, especially compared to lighter Eau de Toilette or Eau de Cologne styles. you can get either of these from Perfume Direct.
Boozy rose is rarer, but when rose is blended with cognac/amber accords it comes off more “witch’s brew” than bouquet. Stick with heavier EDP concentrations and avoid anything described as fresh, dewy, or powdery and you should land right in your comfort zone.
