Like it

An incense reminiscent of desert aromas, warm and enveloping.
To me, Intimate Incense reminded of the smell of leather from a new car, with a leather that can be felt and is masterfully accompanied by the other notes, which make it smoky at times.
Decisive, rough from a certain point of view, but incredibly attractive.
It remains a skin scent with excellent longevity.

The Birkholz with the Most Edges and Corners?

Intimate Incense is, for me personally, so far the fragrance from Birkholz with the most edges and corners. This scent is definitely not for everyone. It has strong smoky nuances combined with spicy and quite intense leathery accents.
If you enjoy this type of fragrance, then you would be exactly right here.

The scent starts off quite powerful for me. It does not hide at all and does not take a moment to get going.
From the very first second, you get strong smoky and spicy nuances. The leather from the base is also clearly recognizable from the start. You have to like this. Admittedly, Intimate Incense in the initial phase is not entirely my fragrance. Personally, I find it too much smoke, leather, and spice. It is definitely very well made, but it simply does not match my personal taste.

Over time, the fragrance becomes a bit more pleasing. Piece by piece, it loses that strong dominance and becomes somewhat tamer.
The scent gains some resinous accents that convey a subtle "sweetness".
Likewise, the woody notes become more intense. They push aside the strong smoky nuances along with the robust leather. Interestingly, I only get the peppery nuances in the last third of the progression.

The longevity of the fragrance on my skin is about eight hours. The sillage is also really good. The scent is almost constantly active, but not overwhelming.
Now to the final question: "Is Intimate Incense unisex wearable?"
Certainly, but I definitely see it more on us gentlemen.

Back at a Hardrock concert in a...

... basement club after a long time. It only fits about 50 people, but there’s always something in the air. The scent of leather, smoke, and wood. The music and the smells create a truly animalistic atmosphere. This is definitely not a concert for the faint-hearted.

Upon applying this fragrance, you first catch a spicy citrus floral leather scent. The leather remains, but it deepens into a dark, spicy aroma with an animalistic twist, accompanied by something dirty. To make this scent truly masculine and mature, it also incorporates woods and a hint of smokiness.

The longevity and sillage are good.

I cannot comprehend some of the reviews here, especially since I do not perceive any burnt rubber. This is certainly not a perfume for the faint-hearted. Anyone wearing this scent on Saturday will have a reason to go to confession on Sunday.

Here we have a unisex fragrance from the house of Birkholz that I don’t really see on women. It’s simply too masculine for me. It’s also not really suitable for young lads; one should be around 25 years old and, of course, open to this scent. This fragrance is excellent for colder and cold days; I can’t imagine it in warm weather. I would also say that it is somewhat challenging to wear during the day. However, in the evening, it’s perfect for either the opera or a concert to stand out immediately, or in a disco or club.

If you want to stand out with a fragrance or even provoke, this spicy citrus floral dark spicy animalistic resinous dirty smoky masculine leather scent is worth checking out.

Incense Rocket

My third review of a fragrance from the house of Birkholz and briefly spoiled, for those who carry too many sins, Intimate Incense is not for you...

I have no idea what sins still weigh on my shoulders, but the incense in this fragrance seems to attack them with a rocket launch. Very smoky, dark, and partly leathery. The oriental character, which is advertised by the manufacturer, is omnipresent. It seems to be a matter of strong personal taste, as the fragrance surprisingly does not receive particularly good ratings, but anyone who has followed my reviews knows that I love dark scents, and this one is no exception. The incense note is definitely a long-range rocket, which only gives the spicy and creamy part of the fragrance a chance after several hours. The scent is unisex, but I would recommend it more to a man. On Parfumo, only four users are registered, but unsurprisingly, they are all male.

As I already hinted, the incense goes full throttle. With four sprays on my neck, I could perceive myself for over eight hours. Apparently, some sins had to be smoked away.

The bottle fits its dark style to the character of the fragrance, but I find it rather boring, especially considering the price, which is quite steep.

For 465,- Euros for 100ml, quite a lot is demanded from me for my sin cleansing. This pricing could actually be the biggest problem, as I suspect most (myself included) would not pay this money for the fragrance. The scent DNA and especially the performance are really good, but at almost 500,- Euros, it has to completely blow me away for me to even think about paying the price for the full size. Accordingly, the fragrance will likely be judged by its high price and therefore does not fare particularly well.

Dark incense fragrances often have to automatically endure a comparison with "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton." And although the scent comes from the expensive house of Louis Vuitton, it is still 100,- Euros cheaper and significantly more popular in the Parfumo community. Therefore, I think Birkholz is standing in its own way with the pricing policy of this fragrance, because it actually has potential.
