What perfume have you bought recently?

@Laddylucks I think you'll really like Emeer. It's a pretty good summer freshie with really strong performance at an unbelievable price.

Recently discovered the brand MITH (along with its sister brands) and all of their fragrances sound RIGHT up my alley so I treated myself and ordered a handful of samples

I just ran out of samples to test, and while I've been enjoying exploring my existing sample collection more deeply, it doesn't quite scratch that itch of discovering something new.

I was discussing with a friend what a "grounding" perfume for relaxation etc might smell like, and they came up with the combo of vetiver, patchouli and frankincense, which I thought sounded nice, so of course I had to search Parfumo to see if anything already exists with that specific note list. Lo and behold, I found Chakra 1, which seems like almost too much of a coincidence. I did some research and long story short, I broke my "no blind buy" rule to get Chakra 1, Chakra 3 and Chakra 5. I thought it was a relatively safe choice because they are essential oil blends, which are quite predictable and pleasant to my nose. Fingers crossed.

Ordered a Penhaligon's discovery set. 

I wish more houses made their own little perfume advent calendars. They're so much fun to get in the mail ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡

Oudh Infini The wildest civet. I smell like a fur trapper.

Velvetine (2025) Sweet and spicy with a little something feral. Masculine leaning but I think I can wear it.

I finally found a bottle (completely full, in its original box!) of the discontinued Bond No. 9 Little Italy.  It's a zesty citrus that is perfect for the summer in New England.  I had bought one years ago, and a roommate jacked it, so I've been missing it ever since.  I am usually leery of Mercari/eBay, but this time it paid off.

I also have a ton of samples coming - some Serge Lutens I haven't tried yet, some Etat Libre d'Orange, and a couple of curated sets ("Iconic 1980's Perfumes" and a "Cathedral/Church" sampler.)

This fragrance has been a bit of a head scratcher for me.

That opening is great with the citrus! The lemon did seem to stick around for a bit. Once the citrus faded all I smelled was that white tea and nothing else. The longevity seemed to fade really fast. I tried it a few times and both times I was underwhelmed. Decided to put it away to mature.

Then this weekend my partner decided she wanted to wear it, and I smelled it on her all day with it projecting and I was able to pick up on much more of the notes! I was either going nose blind or my thoughts to let it mature was the right one.

Ill be letting it sit for awhile longer and I'll come back to it for my personal use. I have been really loving Asad Zanzibar for the time being.

I received Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat as a birthday gift from my favorite department store last month. They let me chose one among all the Guerlain's colognes.

A vintage Yves Rocher blind buy - I'm hoping it's nice. A little gamble for a few euros.

Finally found a place that shipped a Maison Margiela Replica discovery set to my country, yay! Gotta get my grabby little hands all over it once I'm done getting to know Penhaligon's ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾

Blind ordered Infusion d'Iris Cèdre it was a hard search because they changed the name to 'Infusion de Cèdre' which has the same composition as Infusion d'Iris Cèdre and so is different from their former Infusion de Cèdre and I want something with that same scent profile as Infusion d'Iris, but still different so I can rotate them (because Infusion d'Iris is all I want to wear now!) and it's said to be a bit stronger. Hope it will arrive tomorow and I am very curious.

Since it unisex, I can always give it to my boyfriend or brother if I don't like it.
