A while back, I posted that fragrances marketed to men all smell the same.
Gentlemen, what colognes and perfumes would you recommend to me to prove me wrong? What DOESN’T smell like Axe body spray?

Gentleman Givenchy Eau de Parfum I think you will like it 
I feel like this would be too easy if including niche brands and private line designers so I'll keep it to mainline designer scents that you can find in most department stores (or online for quite cheap). I'll also stay away from "traditional" men's scents like straightforward fougeres or citrus-musks, even though they don't necessarily smell like Axe:

It definitely doesn't smell like Axe body spray.
@jasperdezoet I am not a man (re: who you addressed your question to) 😅 but I started purposely testing “masc”-leaning fragrances earlier this year (and wrote a blog about it here on Parfumo too, of some of the best I’ve run into so far - in case it helps). I continue to be amazed by the variety - they truly do not all smell like Axe body spray!
I'm probably biased on this one because is among my favourite scents of all time but 
Amber pour Homme Eau de Toilette to me smells just like a really clean and well dressed person.
Get your nose on the Gucci’s @Omnipotato mentioned, especially Guilty Absolute pour Homme .
Update: found a Reddit thread about colognes on r/goth and now I have a bottle of Quorum and (purple!!) Sung pour Homme coming in the mail.
Apparently, I’m a simple woman: if your fragrance smells like clove cigarettes, I will smash the Buy Now button. Good to know.
