France Meets the Orient
During a visit to Fragonard in Grasse, I was once again searching for a beautiful new fragrance. A consultant recommended this scent to me and sprayed two spritzes before my tour so that the perfume could settle. And what can I say...
At the beginning, the citrus notes of bergamot come through, but not overpowering - the mandarin harmonizes quietly in the background, yet they fade away quickly and slowly dissipate. Now, peach and gardenia follow wonderfully coordinated - neither note is too dominant. It has a long-lasting essence of a warm early summer day. When a hint of violet and heliotrope highlights the floral nuances characteristic of this fragrance, anise resonates in the top note, almond in the heart note, and sandalwood in the base note like an acceptance, like a whisper, not in the foreground, hard to grasp yet present and so important for this scent.
When I apply this perfume and close my eyes - letting the scent envelop me - I feel transported to an oriental bazaar, the air thick with the fragrance of various fruits, flowers, and spices - this scent does something to me.
Fortunately, I was able to secure a refill pack, as unfortunately, the fragrance is no longer in production and my last inquiry at Fragonard was answered with the information that a reissue is not currently planned. I guard my remaining supply like a treasure.
