Fragrance Rotations 2025

Happy August everybody! 💓

@Sniffwhiff What a wonderful selection again! 🥰 For some reason I've also preferred seasonal fragrance trays this year instead of my usual monthly rotation. I will basically do the same as you so the next tray I'm planning to do is autumn, and Christmas/Holiday time after that. Maybe going back to the monthly trays again next year. 😁

I'm still continuing with my late summer selection, however as my UK purchases are going out of hand lol I'm adding on my tray 4 more of my new arrivals: CK One Essence, Le Chèvrefeuille, At the Beach and Sweet Tooth Me Espresso Eau de Parfum, photographed 2 days ago in the beautiful @Mitchcraft family garden right before storm Floris hit us here, was absolutely hilarious that a strong gust sweeped all four bottles all over the place right after the photo session and I ended up looking for them under all flowers and plants 😆 Thankfully none of my new bottles broke, and also thankfully the storm didn't cause any major damage here at the North East coast.

The notes look so delicious for Sweet Tooth Me Espresso Eau de Parfum but I've heard very mixed reviews. I hope you're enjoying it!

I understand the fragrance purchasing struggle lol. I'm trying very hard to limit myself this year, but there are so many I want to try. At best, I'm breaking even on the quantity of my collection 😅

Yeah, I noticed the mixed reviews too, and I'm thinking that Sweet Tooth Me Espresso Eau de Parfum is actually so complex that different people are probably just getting totally different things from it. 😅 I personally find it absolutely gorgeous and it's one of the most beautiful gourmands I've ever smelled. Based on this I actually decided to leave a review today myself too. 😁

Adding one more recently purchased item on my late summer tray 😅 It's Super Milk Glitter Mist, I absolutely adore it and I'm so happy that they finally made a fragrance version of my favourite hair conditioner 🥰 It's such a great citrus gourmand for these a little bit cooler late summer days because it's comforting and sweet but with some great balancing tartness in it so that it's not cloying.

August was a busy month full of testing new things, but there was still time in it for 7 Eau de Toilette and 7 Cobalt, as well as Solo Eau de Toilette, 001 Woman Eau de Parfum, Earth and Agua Drop.

There was also a perfect occasion for Dans le bleu qui pétille!

And, of course, I couldn't resist the gravitational pull of CdG, so I also came back to Amazingreen, Floriental, Concrete and Comme des Garçons 2.

In Finland the autumn has barely started because we got an exceptional heatwave for the beginning of September so it has still felt like summer. That's why I have continued with my late summer rotation longer than expected. Now I'm finally feeling like swapping it, so here's my autumn selection:

It's still too hot and humid, high 30's here, so too early for an autumn rotation now. But thanks for the inspiration!

Live in California and summer is still in full effect at times. Right now I would say the ones getting the most play at the moment...

Green Tea Eau Parfumée This is my go-to gym scent
Eilish No. 2 Currently obsessed with this. Smokey palo santo and layers amazingly.
Amber Oud Aqua Dubai Seen some people say this smells like Imagination, some who don't. It's relation to that fragrance is not really relevant to me, I appreciate it as a standalone. I get a soapy neroli and black tea.
Bohemian Lime Summer classic. Maybe my most complimented?
Khair Confection I mostly use this for at home when I just want to smell cozy and sweet

I never really bother thinking ahead when it comes to fragrances. When the day comes, I will either feel like wearing something specific, or I will not. I can assume that I will wear the 7s more often, and if the temperature falls low enough, will come back to the cozy blanket of 001 Man Eau de Parfum, but in general – what I will wear is as much of a pleasant surprise to myself as it is to everyone else ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )

I totally get what you mean. I used to be the same when I still had a smaller collection. When my collection grew bigger I realised that I am sometimes stressed when looking for certain perfumes from my closets and trying to reach them everywhere and also I'm forgetting what's in there. So I have found out it's more handy now to select a few on an accessible separate tray in advance for a certain period of time and then surprise myself every day which one I'm selecting from the tray 😁 Over the years I've also become quite good at predicting which fragrances I would crave during a certain season as I have noticed my personal cravings are usually very related to a certain weather or seasonal mood.

Continuing my monologue here 😆 Adding something new on the autumn tray of course. I got Devotion Eau de Parfum and La Belle Paradise Garden from the airport yesterday and they're so gorgeous sweet scents that I definitely want to wear them for autumn, I actually sprayed La Belle Paradise Garden already on this morning because I couldn't wait 😍

September sure passed in an instant, huh. And with some drastic weather changes too! One day it was all sun kisses and pretty spiders hanging out on wildflowers, the next – a giant frigid storm engulfed the city and flooded half of it. Ah, autumn!

Aside from the things I wore for test purposes, I spent a fair bit of time enjoying my existing collection. While it was still warm, I wore 001 Woman Eau de Parfum, Solo Eau de Toilette, Esencia Eau de Parfum, 7 Cobalt and 7 Anónimo.

But as winds started to turn, I started reaching back for 7 Eau de Toilette and 001 Man Eau de Parfum.

Of course, I also had to spend some time playing with CdG in the new weather conditions. I wore Concrete, Rouge, Floriental and Amazingreen. Amazingreen turned out to be the most, well, amazing out of the bunch. It had a very airy, fresh and cooling presence in the summer, so I was worried that I'd have to give it up until next spring. So I applied it, ready for failure, and was met with cozy warmth of an old soviet era home library. A clean scent of a professor with giant thick glasses and far too many houseplants. CdG sure never misses, huh.

That said, weather got really cold way before the start of the season of our centralized heating, so for the second half of September I abandoned everything else and cuddled up to Tom Ford. Black Orchid Eau de Parfum, Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum and a whole lot of Bitter Peach Eau de Parfum and Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum.

And now we're off to October. We'll see what it brings, though if local authorities don't bestow the gift of centralized heating upon us soon, I can already see how things are going to go ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )
