We are talking the colour, right?
Because if you think about finding a scent relatively close to Heeley's Iris de Nuit or the Prada's Infusion d' Iris or even Fragonard Homme Elegant, then, I would say " Lasciate ogni speranza..."
The predominant note is given by the violettes- they have the same purple shade just like the iris-and the heliotropes. Orris and a vague tonka bean try to save the day. There are such springs when my irises do not grow at their full size and are swallowed by the roses and the carnations and all the other greens around them. This is the image the scent suggests.
Close your eyes, smell the violettes and imagine an iris in all its splendour.

Iris - the Freshness of Spring
Every year when spring arrives, I treat myself to a little fragrance package from Fragonard. This year, Fragonard is celebrating the iris as Flower of the Year - and I'm celebrating along with them.

Iris starts surprisingly fresh and citrusy, reminding me a bit of D & G's Light Blue. This is surprising for me, as I would have expected the delicate iris instead.

It then moves into a slightly spicy-peppery phase, with the delicate iris still taking its time to appear. A bit of powderiness and softness slowly comes through.

In the showdown, the scent strongly reminds me again of the aforementioned Italian fragrance; a certain resemblance cannot be denied.

All in all, Iris is a very nice spring and summer scent, spritzing with citrus at the beginning, interestingly herbal-spicy at the heart, and delicately cheerful in the base note. I like it, and I will enjoy wearing it; those looking for something extraordinary will not find it here. However, with the very affordable price of not even 20 euros for 50 ml, you really can't go wrong.

Conclusion: I am positively surprised - it's not a crowd-pleaser among fragrances, subtle and wearable, even if only a hint of iris can be detected.

Iris - desperately sought
Not a traditional iris scent with elegance or "depth," but rather a floral-citrusy-fruity affair.
The top notes are invigoratingly lemony, but then you wait... and wait... searching for the iris - and you don't find it. At least not the one you usually know... What beats in the heart is a little violet (that was already a topic with Fragonard), which has strange fruity undertones that I attribute to synthetic components. I can only detect iris absolute with a lot of imagination; had I not read about this ingredient in the advertisement or seen it listed here, I wouldn't perceive it. I probably just imagine it anyway.
"Iris" by Fragonard is unfortunately an inconsequential scent with a misleading name that doesn't captivate me. What a shame.

Refreshing citrus opening, then a floral airy fluff, quite artificial, interchangeable.

Nothing as dusty-powdery as some other iris scents, more zesty to floral-green. However, very light. Just spring freshness...

citrusy veggie iris; not my thing; rating with reservations: You can't test well with these wipes...

The top notes are extremely piercing and just don't match the rest. Not good at all. Fragonard can do better!

Citrusy and zesty at first, then a warm blend of iris, violet, and heliotrope with a powdery finish. Perfect for spring!

From spring-fresh to summer-happy, this iris has plenty of floral company. Uncomplicated and pretty. French Chic (AugustA)
