Soft, honeyed Hypnotic Poison
A sweet and feminine fragrance whose main stars are a bright and powdery vanilla and smooth white florals. It smells very similar to Dior Hypnotic Poison EDT, but without the "poisonous" bitter almond note, and with a dash of the softness of Kenzo Amour instead.

There is a light fruity note to this, especially in the opening, but I don't think I would have identified it as blackberry or blackcurrant. But on the other hand, I'm not sure which other fruit I might smell here. Maybe a hint of orange? I don't know if it's the name ("honeymoon") playing tricks on my nose or the sweetness of the hawthorn note fooling me, but I also smell a little floral honey in the background. All together makes me crave the milky honey-orange smoothie I used to drink as a child at the mall. I got to see if the shop that sold it still exists.

Far in the drydown, after a few hours, a surprising ambery warmth emerges close to the skin and anchors the fragrance for another good while.

This is not a groundbreaking scent, and while it's a bit sad it got discontinued, I'm sure it's possible to find a good replacement. HP-adjacent fragrances are dime a dozen at the moment. I do think that this was a good, well-blended take on the concept though.

The Pure Loveliness
As it happens, one day a few golden drops of a sample of this honey literally came to me through a perfume swap. And since then, they haven't let me go.
Somehow, I had always wanted to have Dior's Hypnotic Poison; it was such a distinctive, yet princess-like scent from my youth that I never owned myself, but which always seemed to waft through city centers and the perfume departments of large department stores at a certain time, often tested by me and back then, it excited me greatly. However, over the years, it lost its appeal for me. It became too intense, too artificial, too intrusive, and too - sorry - girly. Perhaps that's why it never came to me.

All of this is not at all true for Lune de Miel. No Play-Doh, no piercing overwhelm, no artificial intensity, no miles-long scent trails. Instead, it offers pleasantly sweet honey with tuberose and vanilla pastry, which never feels overloaded or as if it only fits the Christmas winter, not at all. I love having it on me and around me every day, every moment. Right now in spring.

The very first moment is perhaps indeed a bit sharp, but immediately afterward, the overall impression softens, and even the red berries are briefly perceptible to me upon careful sniffing, although they immediately swim in a sea of vanilla. I really like that. The characteristic tuberose also comes through right away. And stays. Then I smell white, sweet flowers, whether it's hawthorn or gardenia - my sniffing skills aren't that refined yet; I would need to have smelled more gardenia and hawthorn for that. And I haven't yet.

How the scent then develops and lasts for hours, around 4-5 hours for me, is what prompted me to purchase and write this comment. The wonderful blend of dominant vanilla with tuberose and then gently a bit of sandalwood added, does become weaker over time, but it plays together so convincingly lovely for me that I get a completely enchanted look. Whenever I perceive it, I am in heaven. Because it remains light. Because it is as golden as a fairy's kiss. Because it makes me happy for hours like hardly any other scent has before. And it soothes me greatly. I have been searching for that for years.

Sure, for me, it is also an HP dupe, but a very light and wearable one, completely without any penetrance. It reminds me more of the initial HP when it was released and hadn't yet pricked the nose but was very magical and balsamic.
The bottle is indeed unattractive, but I don't care about that with the price and the amount of delicious honey inside.

Sticky Sweet Honeymoon
Unfortunately, Fragonard does not offer spray samples, but rather the scented, sealed small cloths. I prefer to test by spraying, as I feel that the fragrance unfolds better.

However, with Lune de Miel, in my opinion, nothing is lost in intensity.
Once I tore open the packaging, I was immediately overwhelmed by the sweetness. The hawthorn, gardenia, and tuberose engulf everything. Honey-sweet, sticky vanilla traces spread across my wrist.
Those who love it lush, honey-sweet, and gourmand will be excellently served here.

The scent does not change for me either. The mentioned berries must have fled.
I find the fragrance sticky sweet, the sillage intrusive.

Full moon night with honey scent: golden sweetness surrounds ripe berries, embraces noble gardenias, and caresses delicate floral aromas - enchanting!

I really like the top note. From the heart note on, it smells just like Hypnotic Poison EdT. Synthetic, but it only costs half.

No fruits for me, unfortunately. Just very sweet vanilla pudding. For me, it's more of a gourmand. I wouldn't wear this on my honeymoon, no.

A lighter version of Hypnotic Poison. The zesty blackcurrant note gives it uniqueness and makes it suitable for milder days.

What a charming vanilla scent! Not as strong as Dior's HP but still very appealing! Unfortunately low longevity because it's EdT :(

At first, I actually smell honey; then the Hypnotic Poison copy emerges. The original is definitely better.

I find it very similar to Fleur de Vanille. Vanilla and musk are the main themes here.

Hypnotic Poison that not only quickly drops its weapons,
but also its layers.
Feels cheap - vanilla is way too fussy.
