This is not a Blue Bottle 1.2 instantly makes me so happy and careless as I am a teenage girl on my summer holidays again

I need to bump this up my Scentbird queue!

My number one will always be, Angel Eau de Parfum, I can spray that anytime/anywhere and boom, mood lifted.

Lately however, I discovered "Sh**ty Day | Noyz" is really cozy/comforting with its salty-aquatic-fruity accord. I wore this during one of the cooler rainy days we had recently, and it was quite calming. It's borderline aromatherapy for me, and I love

"Sketch (2017) | Violet / Veolay", and "Nuée Bleue (2019) | Violet / Veolay" both from Maison Violet are quite cozy in my opinion. Sketch has this lovely vanilla accord and it's not overly powdery its toasty more than anything, and the way it pairs with the nutmeg is just divine. Nuée Bleue (also great for rainy summer days), the dry-down is cozy with an Amberwood accord base, it tones down the powdery nuances from the orris after about an hour and warms the scent up, but it retains a lot of freshness from the floral accord.

For the colder months? I love: Iris Malikhân, Good Girl Eau de Parfum Suprême and A*Men(this one I love wearing around the house during the fall/winter).

Just a few that I always reach for to have a moment of peace.

Sh**ty Day looks so good, and the price is reasonable. I might get the exploration kit.

I don't own it, but it's been on my wish-list for a few years: Eau de Pamplemousse Rose.

Because - of course now I can't remember who, where, when or how - I heard a Dr Scientist Person say, essentially, that while a lot of alleged health benefits of various scents were more or less bogus, the smell of grapefruit was established to lift people's moods indeed (don't quote me on any of that, but it was the general idea).
I don't remember if they specified 'pink' grapefruit or the whole extended grapefruit, but I'll take the Hermès pink!

It would seem that citruses have that fresh 'n' energizing effect, eh?

A good citrus goes a long way to boost my mood; whether it's scientific or not. Grapefruit and bergamot are personal favorites, and one of my favorite feel good scents is Atomic Rose (Idk how to insert the little icon link.) The bergamot is so green! Not a hint of sharpness.

Tea notes tend to calm my nerves when I'm stressed. They just have this relaxing quality to them. Currently in my collection are White Tea Eau de Toilette and Éclat d'Arpège Eau de Parfum for this purpose.

Grapefruit notes always manage to lift up my spirits and energize me when I am feeling down. I used to have Like a Trip to New York and Pink Grapefruit Eau de Toilette. I used those up long ago and ever since have been looking for an affordable grapefruit scent that lasts longer than those two did.

Clinique Happy For Men. A bright & cheerful citrus / light floral scent.

Sadly, it only lasts 2-3 hours.  But that's enough to lighten my mood every time.

I love Choco Musk. Its such a warm and comfy smell.

Coven will always be the GOAT mood booster to me!

For me, it is Un Jardin sur le Nil Eau de Toilette . The mixture of incense and citrus creates an amazing invigorating and mood lifting effect

yesterday it was Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum - i had tried a couple of samples from lucky scent and one of them gave me a headache. scrubbed them off and mon guerlain came to the rescue! so cozy and comforting.

There are few depending on situation. Now it's Sauvage Parfum

often it may be Cool Water Woman for night.

anytime it would be "Amber Oud Aqua Dubai | Al Haramain / الحرمين"

Fragrance as a whole generally helps, almost anything I own (mayyyybe not my sample of Bloodflower...haha!) will help to a degree. There are certain fragrances that really help in specific states of mind/mood though.

When I want the fragrance equivalent of "touching grass" - O de Lancôme (I can't hashtag it?)

When I want something overcomingly beautiful because the world is violent, and people suck - Shalimar Eau de Parfum

When I'm literally grieving (my uncle passed away recently, for instance) - Vanilla or Vanilla Musk Perfume Oil (just vanilla).

When I'm feeling like I'm a mess and need to "lock in" (as the kids say) - Narciso Eau de Parfum

In either all/any of the above, or I just want to feel like myself - Angel Eau de Parfum

Again, these aren't hard&fast situational reaches (so if I'm wearing anything vanilla I'm not necessarily crying), and sometimes just wearing anything at all takes the edge off.

If I can be honest, I'm probably somewhat neuro-divergent and I've always used fragrance as a stimming method, I just haven't realized it until this year when I've read more about ND in general. I've just always considered it a stress reliever. I smell my wrists compulsively, or if I'm home I'll sniff bottles periodically. I'm probably not the only one!

BTW I'm spamming you all with "thank you" and loving reading every single comment because fragrance as a means to feel good (or at least better) is the heart&soul of it all IMO ❤️ Thanks for this thread OP!

Ardent Eau de Parfum

Rose always lifts my mood and the hedione is like an instant blast of joy.

Khair Confection

This is for when I don't want to feel refined, put together, any of that. I want to come home, unwind, and feel joyous and unserious. Ik its an "inspired twist" but its original inspiration I get a thick, syrupy jellybean, whereas this I get pear and cashmere. 😍

Sandalwood fragrances do it for me.

My favourite is Santal Austral Eau de Parfum

Not exactly my favorite fragrance or anything, but Cool Water Eau de Toilette does a damn good job to lift the spirits.

(The spirits do fade into nothingness quite quickly. Damn shame).

Aventus Cologne always makes me feel great.

Reflection 45 makes me feel like this is how I'm supposed to smell

Diaghilev Parfum makes me feel like an unstoppable business man

Town & Country makes me feel professional

Dior Homme Parfum (2014) makes me feel like a professional at a black tie event

Musc Ravageur Eau de Parfum makes me feel irresistible to women (I've been resisted a lot 😂)

I haven't tried the Cool Water Parfum but I did try the Cool Water Intense, it is a good fragrance, especially for the price! But it is a sweeter one, and doesn't really have any resemblance to the original apart from the name. Longevity is solid, I get 7 - 8 hours out of it, projection is good too. At least the first 1,5 - 2 hours, it pushes.

But a nice one nonetheless.

Oh that's interesting. Thanks for a brief review. I think I could never find an Intense tester. But I have the Parfum and I loved it and have the bottle already, yet unpacked. It is different to Cool Water too. More deep than just an freshie.
