Little challenge here. You have to choose only two fragrances, one for warmer weather and one for colder weather, for the rest of your life. They both have to be pretty versatile in their corresponding seasons; to work in most occasions - good as a daily, leisure wear, good for work and/or school, and good for more formal events.

Hmm, I mean it's quite a different situation there. Certainly nobody would wear two pieces of clothes to wear for the rest of their life. But fragrances? Seems easier to only choose two for the rest of your life. But you've got a point, for people like us invested in perfumery is borderline impossible to just choose two😂 That's why it's a challenge
Actually I would be quite happy if I could do with only two perfumes and not suffer from choice-stress (is that a word in English? In Holland we say: Keuzestress). But I always think there will be something even better than my favourites (Fear of Missing Out).

I have to agree since I wore 
Polo Eau de Toilette from 1986 to 2021.
I somehow discovered sampling in 2021? and Ive worn a lot of different stuff since then.
I've been thinking on this for awhile. Definitely a hard choice.
I think I would choose 
Shalimar Eau de Toilette for hot weather and 
Égoïste Eau de Toilette for the cold.
This is hard but I would probably decide for 
Bois Impérial Eau de Parfum for EDC in spring/summer and 
XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber for fall/winter
If I had to radically reduce, I'd probably need only one:
I really thought about it for a while, but no other came into my mind which is as versatile and "just me" like No. 5 EdT.
This challenge sounds like my worst nightmare, like being forced to live in Gilead from The Handmaid's Tales. Brrr!
Out of my current selection, I'd have to go with 
Solo Vulcan for the warm parts of the year and 
001 Man Eau de Parfum for the cold ones. Though I do hope to never be faced with that decision. Trying new things is too fun 
Opium (1977) Parfum and 
Féminité du bois. Notably, both have plum and a ton of spice. But Opium has so much going on that it’s like a citrus-topped, floral, spiced oriental and slightly fruity-woody thing. I could really wear it all the time in almost any mood- it’s like several different perfumes through its development.
FdB is so moody but also surprisingly light and suitable even for the summer months because of it. It’s mostly linear but it’s not too sweet or overwhelming, making it great to wear even at the office.
