Trying to expand my office fragrances

I am an architect working in a professional but relaxed setting. Most "office" fragrances either bore me or they smell like soap. Currently, I wear Eight & Bob Cap d'Antibes (fresh/violet) and Geo F. Trumper Eucris (masculine/barbershop). Both are unique and unexpected, which is somewhat appropriate for my creative field. Both are old-school and traditional which fits my age and position. I can find date night and head turner fragrances all day long (leather, tobacco, oud, etc.). For those categories, I am wearing Amouage Interlude Black Iris, Rubini Hyperion, Beaufort Coeur De Noir, and Meo Fusciuni Last Season. All interesting, but mostly not office safe. Finding good office fragrances that excite me has been tough. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Infusion d'Iris (2015) Eau de Parfum

Infusion d'Iris Cèdre (now called Infusion Cèdre) is more of a 'white T-shirt' kind of scent.

I prefer Infusion d'Iris. Absolutely office-safe and and the wafts you get from it are so very relaxing!

some of the fragrances that male colleagues wear at work are Arabians Tonka , Arabians Musk, Bois Impérial Eau de Parfum, Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum, Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum , Reflection Man , and sometimes Ambre Narguilé and Terre d'Hermès Parfum. Disclaimer: please consider that I work in a totally different context. I work in a warehouse-like retail area with lots of customers. In this working environment these fragrances leave an amazing scent trail and do not suffocate you. I can't tell how they are perceived in a closed office. Atm It´s cold where I live, perhaps this is why they're reaching for spicy-tobacco-vanilla perfumes?

My choices are a little more cliche -

Silver Mountain Water is my fav as an IT prof who has to impress corporate types. It's an exacto knife dipped in water.

Torino21 is great for a greener take. It's like mint leaves getting sliced in half in the air by a ninja.

For something exciting that a creative would enjoy... maybe Filosofia if you like tobacco. Punchy and more interesting but with smaller sillage and radius.

Here are some that I love and feel like a man could pull off as well, in an office setting:
Marrakech Intense Eau de Parfum : cool and noble cardamom
Montri: awesome oud, roses and spice
Cuir de Venise : oud, cocoa and papyrus
Gold Heart V.4: warm cardamom chai

Also check out Nicolai. Her stuff almost always reads masculine and not at all banal. Some personal favorites:

I agree with Raulko111 about Nicolai. I'll add Caravansérail Intense and Bois Bélize Intense.

Meo-fusciuni is worth a look. Try Odor 93 or Spirito.

Masque Milano has some nice offerings that I wear to the office: II-III (homage to) Hemingway if you like vetiver, I-III Russian Tea is wonderful, and also look at IV-IV White Whale.

Obscurus and Incenso are good if you want something warm and spicy but not to Intense.

If you're thinking along the lines of more traditional masculine fragrances I'd go in the direction of more woody scents, such as Quercia and Oak in Oak.

I do relate to you that I dont like many soapy scents, but you should really try if you didnt, Amber pour Homme Eau de Toilette , superb scent thats also an office scent in my opinion, and it has some twists that makes it interesting.

I second Ringtale's notion of Infusion d'Iris (2015) Eau de Parfum , that is a good scent for the office, and not a common one either.

Next to that one, my two cents would be:

Beau de Jour Eau de Parfum and Gentleman Givenchy Eau de Toilette Intense for the office. The latter is professional enough and does not have that soapiness, that is usually associated with "office friendly".

You could also go for Grey Vetiver Parfum if Vetiver is your thing. (Deemed a good scent for a professional setting, I personally loathe it, too mature for me)

Any in the L'Homme line. Also Amber pour Homme Eau de Toilette

I think Carved Oud Extrait de Parfum is great, but maybe some get scared when they see “oud”.

Grey Vetiver Parfum

I am a new member. I put this out there not knowing what the response would be. I am blown away and very appreciative. I was especially amused by the person who went back and corrected a typo (I'm anal like that too! LOL).

For today’s office scent, I ran a test. I wore Eucris on one arm and Kouros on the other. Kouros is almost universally panned as being an unsafe fragrance, especially for the office. But in the side-by-side, Kouros came off smoother and less in your face than Eucris. Both are masculine bordering on hyper-masculine. Eucris is based on a 1912 EDT formulation and Kouros is 1981. So, to a degree, they are both old school. The civet puts the bite in Kouros and the cumin does the same for Eucris. Most importantly, the woman I sit next to who has to smell me all day liked both of them. It’s winter, so that helps. I don’t know that I would pull either of these off in 100-degree weather, which is common in San Antonio, Texas. I was afraid Kouros was going to be over the top. But on my skin, it seems to be well within the range of social acceptability in an office environment.

I have tried Bois Imperial (2 *), Reflection Man (3*), Terre d’Hermes (EDT and Perfume) (4*), Papyrus Moleculaire (3*), The Original (3*), Memoirs of a Trespasser (4*), and Grey Vetiver (2*). I still have some Terre d’ Hermes and Memoirs of a Trespasser left. I will give those another shot in the office and see how it goes.

I added Infusion d’Iris to my ScentSplit wish list. L’Humaniste has been on my wish list for a while. I ended up ordering two others from the same perfumer, and neither of them worked out for me due to poor performance with my skin chemistry. (African Rooibos (2*) and Dandy or not G.A. (2*)) I tried No. 1 Tonic Blanc (4*) from Thomas Kosmala and liked it. I added No. 4 Apres L’Amour to my wish list. It has a 9.1 longevity rating, which is important for me for getting all the way to the end of the workday. I added Carved Oud to my wish list. If I’m willing to wear cumin and civet to the office, why not oud! One YouTube channel calls it the clone that beat Tom Ford. Seems worth a try.
